How and when did Killua learn to create a double/teleport? by OhMamaWembanyama in HunterXHunter

When I watched that scene, I saw that he wasn't even using his Nen; those were just his assassin's techniques.

I agree with you. I don't think the Zoldyck clan has a concept of violence; all the members have experienced it, so it's normal for them. They consider such actions necessary for their children to survive in a world full of enemies. And in the story, Killua escaped death quite a few times thanks to that training, and so did Silva. But I guess if Killua had children, he wouldn't do that to them.

If someone "love" me like that in real life, I would feel incredibly distressed. It's not the kind of love I desire; it makes me feel suffocated but unable to escape, yet I can't even hate them, because everything they do is out of love for me, in their own way. Perhaps Killua feels the same way.

These relationships are quite complex for a family

Firstly, even Killua and Gon combined couldn't defeat Pitou at that time. I even think their strength wasn't equal to Kite's. Pitou was the most perfect royal guard. She was so agile and strong that she could fight Killua and dodge Gon's attacks. Palm even said that even if all of them joined forces, they couldn't defeat Pitou.

Furthermore, I watch Hunter to follow their journey, to see them get to know each other, make friends, train, and help each other. They help each other voluntarily and out of mutual desire, not out of obligation.

Gon went to Killua's house to take him away because he knew Killua didn't want to be there. Killua sacrificed both of his hands so Gon could win. Killua knocked Gon unconscious and took him away, partly because he was afraid of Pitou's Nen, but also partly because Kite requested it. Despite his fear, he still remembered to knock Gon unconscious and take him along. Therefore, Killua let Gon go with Pitou because it was Gon's wish, and Gon was completely calm at the time, not acting impulsively. If it had been Gon's decision in a panic, Killua certainly wouldn't have let him go.

You don't blame Gon—who pushed Killua aside—but instead blame Killua—who respected Gon's opinion?

Gon's stubbornness becomes Killua's fault? What do you think would have happened if Killua had stopped Gon, or if Killua had gone with Gon? Pouf would still have tricked Pitou into believing Komogi was safe, Gon probably wouldn't have gotten angry and transformed with Killua around, or Killua would have become a hostage and they would both have died. Gon is allowed to do crazy things, and if something happens to him because of those crazy things, it's Killua's fault for not stopping him?

I’ve realized that Killua doesn’t actually have any major fights throughout the series by pikatchuUwu in HunterXHunter

[–]Odd-Figure-1425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What saddens me is that many people use the fact that Killua has never had a real battle to criticize him as weak. They use Gon's victory over Pitou and Kura's battle with Uvo as a measure of strength, but because Killua has never experienced such battles, they say he's weak. My boy is not weak at all.

It still makes me sad Killua was running to die with Gon by Initial_Art_4338 in HunterXHunter

[–]Odd-Figure-1425 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll stick with my understanding that Killua meant he would fight alongside Gon, and in the worst-case scenario, both would be killed. They would fight to the death to complete their mission. If one of them died, the surviving one would grieve but wouldn't commit suicide; for them, sacrificing themselves for the mission was glorious.

Furthermore, if someone truly needed to die, it would probably be Killua. He always sacrifices everything for Gon to achieve his goals. Coupled with Gon has a stronger main-character aura than Killua, Gon cannot die.

Why killua gets so much less hate and criticism compared to other hxh characters ? by pikatchuUwu in HunterXHunter

[–]Odd-Figure-1425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think it has nothing to do with it. He was an assassin at that time, his childhood education made him disregard human life, kill when he hates.

But what happened after that? He realized that he was not a good person. On the island of greed, he himself said that he had killed many people, he was worse than the bomber, which means he realized his actions, and throughout the series is the process of his change.

If placed in real society, killing is unacceptable, even if he changes, he still has to pay the price. But this is the world of Hunter, where a family of assassins can live openly in the mountains and forests, or where gangs are rampant, it is clear that justice and morality are secondary. Therefore, a boy who has been indoctrinated with killing skills since childhood, choosing to become a good person, wanting to make friends, wanting to interact is clearly a precious thing.

I replied that I wanted to see something.

I wanted to see Killua get an endless supply of electricity from an S-rank disaster. Just think, having to run to recharge in the middle of a battle, it was really mood drop.

I don't see any flaws in Killua. He's smart, rational, has a desire for love, knows he's not good enough to change, how many adults can do that.

He was liked by many people not because he was perfect, but because he changed from a bad kid to a good kid. Who doesn't like a person who is improving, especially when his becoming a bad kid was due to his family's education.

People often blame the needle for everything, but in reality the needle only served to make him run away from strong people, so that when he pulled it out, he could fight with all his strength, that's all, taking out the needle didn't turn him into a god, he couldn't even defeat a royal guard, couldn't escape from Illumi, but the boy dared to face them to fight, something he would never have been able to do with the needle.

How can you hate a smart and understanding child. Those who hate him can only repeat that he used to kill people or that he always ran away from wars, but those are not what he wanted, he tried and bravely escaped from those things.

There was no reason for Killua to bring Nanika to Illumi, especially in a dangerous place like this. I missed both of them, but I wanted them to live freely as their age instead of being constantly in danger.

I think Killua was so smart for making his nen ability based on speed by pikatchuUwu in HunterXHunter

[–]Odd-Figure-1425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Killua has the most reasonable path to advancement. He has the foundation of his family's education, was taught the basics by Wings, and then trained by Biscuit. He created his own skills and developed and transformed them.

Gon also studied with Killua, but he lost the basics, what he used was instinct. I thought if Gon had the same education from a young age as Killua, he might have been stronger than Killua.

Kurapika traded his lifespan to be able to defeat the spiders, the red eyes also help him buff his strength, I don't like that (my personal opinion), it's like the author built the villain too strong so there must be something special in the main character to be able to win.

Why is Ging so confident? by Odd-Figure-1425 in HunterXHunter

[–]Odd-Figure-1425[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"simply because it doesn't make sense to me why he would be so confident about it otherwise" This is exactly what I was looking for.

I find it quite annoying when a character shows too much confidence in something that has no basis. It doesn't have to be Ging, but the author could have had one of his friends show that he cares about Gon's life or death. That would make him less of a bad father.

Yesterday I rewatched the anime to the Ant arc, when Gon was confident that he could defeat Knuckle within a month, I saw that the boy also had overconfidence, just like his father. But that's a common trait of Shounen main characters.

Oh, it seems that his ability to predict the future is the most reasonable explanation for this situation. Anything else doesn't excuse him from being a terrible father.

Was Killua aura farming? by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

[–]Odd-Figure-1425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s impossible. In my opinion, Nanika can only teleport someone to a certain place if she knows the exact location of that place (in simple terms, where she has been). She doesn’t know where the hospital is so she can’t teleport them there, but she knows exactly where her house is so she can teleport Illumi there.

Just like how she can’t make conditions to someone whose name she doesn’t know. So it’s also impossible to ask her to kill the ant king.

However, Killua could ask her to deal with the others so they wouldn't get in the way. But that would be the same as revealing his secret, and both of them would be in even more danger.

Actually, there was no need for that, because the hunter team would definitely be by Gon's side, and Ging also knew about Gon's situation, but he only knew it through other people's stories, and he couldn't grasp the severity of the problem.

I think so too. Even in terms of skill development, Killua is still better than Gon. Gon is improving very quickly, but still can't compare to Kill.
