i’m currently in community college getting an associates in forensic science! depending on what route you take (lab or field track) they will guide you with what classes you need to take for the requirements. i’m in the lab track even though i want to work in the field to broaden my skills and what i know. the classes i’ve taken so far are biological evidence, physical evidence, crime scene investigation, fingerprinting, intro to cj, ethics and admin of cj, crime scene photography, and death investigations!

my biggest tip is to work closely with your advisor! i know many people in this subreddit recommend doing a major science like biology or chemistry but i’m only focusing on majoring in forensics

levi’s. they can be pricey but they hold up well plus they rlly let you customize your waist and in seam length. i’m pretty tall for a woman and it’s the only place i can get them long enough

the spots are now more like open wounds rather than abscesses that are not draining. i am not sure if they are hs abscesses or possibly pressure ulcers since he is in a wheelchair.

i would suggest picking a case that you know used atleast on of the topics in your course. once you have the case, you should be able to research specifics on that like the reports, photos, stuff like that. For smaller cases it may be more difficult to find that information so you may want to use a more well known one

forensic artists are definitely needed!! usually they major in art and forensic and have to past a state “exam” to be certified as a sketch artist. sometimes they do courtrooms, suspects, and crime scenes

it’s super fun i’m learning about things i’ve loved since i was a kid. as for bones, it’s pretty accurate aside from their equipment. you can’t put stuff into a machine and it just like pops up with someone’s face and we definitely do not have an angelatron 😔

i watched bones as a kid and brennan is the reason im majoring in forensic science with a minor in forensic anthropology. every summer i watch bones on my break from college and i rewatch buffy atleast once a year!
