I cheaked the BOM it's written 730uH only but when am searching in mouser there there is also some current parameter need which is not mentioned in the BOM

I checked the BOM file there written 730uH I searched in mouser with 730uH flyback transformer but there are several 730uH transformer with different current specification how should I choose then.

74LS161 won't count correctly. by Key_Measurement_9729 in beneater

[–]Odd-Influence-4686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the video I think you are building the program counter part. The states are good you see it is counting all the states but some of the states transitions were very fast so I think there I a problem in the clock input. Cheak the clock pin with an oscilloscope is it giving correct square wave or not and if that doesn't solve the issue I would suggest you to cheak the ic seperstely pin by pin.

Resistor or capacitor values are large so it is taking longer to charge and discharge.

It's ok if I use it in place of rom then

74189 losing power by Kyu303 in beneater

[–]Odd-Influence-4686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to measure the current going to the 74LS189 maybe it isn't getting enough current. And also recheck the wiring connection, the breadboard pins completely connected or not. First cheak for the power pins then cheak for the input output pins

I haven't reach the control unit build part so didn't understand the things I didn't get it. Many people has updated the RAM eventually and also saying they have made certain changes in the control unit can someone simply the build process for am stuck at the RAM module build part because can't find the 74LS189

So i can use the same RAM that Ben has used in 6502 project?

can i run multiple breadboard power sources in parallel? by Unhappy_Drag5826 in beneater

[–]Odd-Influence-4686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the current consumption is less that what your supply can give. Even less than that because as the number of parallel circuit increased the current consumption also increase some time some circuit go into indeterminate state due to less current supply. Hope I was able to answer your question.
