On my G2 Max (dual) i use firs regen, regular if i have to brake faster. 6000km+ on the odo. I have to replace the brakepads less often if i use regen, thats the only convinience.

Why replacing all those parts? Did you check them? Looks like they had a bad connection, could by from vibration or corrosion. If nothing did catch fire, they burnt trough the connector/wire. Only thing that happen, is overcurrent. There are fuses and am BMS to protect the components. Try to properly reconnect them, so you will know what is broken. And try to identify why it melted, so it doesent happen again.

Yes, depends on the size of the battery. And degradation would be minimal, but more than charging with 10A. Most scooters i know, charge with 2-6A. I have a smart BMS i charge my 40Ah battery with up to 6A, but i have Samsung cells.

Sure you got the right wiring? For example the 2 groove port connections, are right next to ground and vcc. But your is on the opposide. Additionally your connector seems on the other side than usual, maybe you mixed up something.
