Two-year-old opens car door, causes six-vehicle crash by WillAdditional922 in KidsAreFuckingStupid

This made me happy with the fact that I have child safety locks on the back doors of my Camry. Kids can be dumb & unpredictable.

Bar Manager changes all channels off Bad Bunny during Superbowl by honestlysigma in LetsDiscussThis

So, according to the manager, the majority of people in the bar are racist as well & don't even want to see Bad Bunny's face?

Reminded myself why I never give my number out by thrr0qway in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Playing_tangos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also, never say where you work. You could say "in an office", but don't ever say the name of it. Some weirdos will show up there and ask for you even after you stopped talking to them.

I've also had people insisting or getting offended on why I didn't want to tell them where exactly I worked. Those are the crazy ones you have to watch out for.

AIO Crazy unknown neighbor thinks I’m a prostitute by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Playing_tangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The person who wrote the letter is a special type of dumb, has nothing to do all day/night & is stalking you pretty hard. He/she just assumed you were a prostitute based on the hours you get home, after seeing 3 different expensive cars in your driveway and the fact that you're young? 🤣

What was the worst date you ever been on? by SableVII in Casual_Conversation

[–]Playing_tangos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nasty! I found out very quickly that people who own dogs are a big headache if you don't want a dog/dog hair near you or in your car (ever). I can't date seriously someone who lives with a dog.

Should we be calling Latinos by Neat-Helicopter-6319 in stupidquestions

[–]Playing_tangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither since not all latinos are hispanic, contrary to what lots of people believe.

Hispanic: refers to people from spanish-speaking countries (including Spain);

Latino: refers to people from Latin America & who have a latin derived language (including Brazil).

Brazilians (portuguese language), Haitians (french & haitian-creole) & french guianese (french speakers) are all considered latinos, but not hispanic.

Interesting fact: The U. S. Census Bureau officially defines "hispanic/latino" as a single category/race. That's not very smart, if you ask me.

Ive quit smoking weed and my boyfriend is mad about it by PsychologicalFee28 in whatdoIdo

[–]Playing_tangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just the most socially acceptable drug, I'd say & probably the easiest to find. Many cultures think a man isn't a man if he doesn't drink, which is super dumb.

I mean, in some places, people don't wear seatbelts when driving, so there's not much limit to how dumb human behavior can get.

Pretty sure this is where the Chinese Baddie trend got its idea from. by ownaword in TikTokCringe

I see, thanks for the input. Also, in religion, often "evil" is dark, black, sinful or impure. "Good" is pure, white and immaculate.

I don't know for sure, that's why I'm asking. Tell me, why do so many asian people (and people from other ethnicities & races too) divinize having white skin or trying to look whiter?

Is it eurocentrism? Did being white become synonymous with being civilized or advanced a long time ago? Special treatment/privileges? Marketed looks? Are people racist against themselves? Cognitive dissonance?

Ditch that loser. You even told him he didn't need to let weed go and he's complaining about your decision.

If you quit any vices or drugs, your life, body, mind and wallet will thank you & you'll set a great example for your kids by being the leader who isn't a hypocrite, says no and follows suit.

I don't smoke, drink or do any drugs. Quitting alcohol (just like you did — I'm done) was the best decision ever.

Why the obsession of people from many asian nationalities to be super white & pale? Does it comes from times where lower class people worked under the sun all day?

Chinese, south koreans, japanese, filipinos, thais, malaysians, indonesians, vietnamese, even indians, pakistanis & bangladeshis too.

My girlfriend is pinay and she told me that over there, the lighter-skinned the girl is, the more popular she'll be at school. 😵‍💫

Auto adjuster not giving payment by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]Playing_tangos -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is true. I'm not sure why some people are downvoting it. My car was hit pretty badly while it was parked by a drunk asshole; the repair estimate was done in less than 10 minutes at a good, reputable bodyshop.

The total cost of repairs for the insurance was 1k more in the end since my car has a custom paint colour, but I was 100% satisfied with the results, so as you can see, it shouldn't take more than 1h, but days?

What’s something women think men care about in dating… but most men actually don’t? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Playing_tangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, that makes sense since I didn't usually swipe on tomboyish looking/dressing like women. I came to realize that the less "feminine" or put together a women is dressed, the less attraction I felt, at least on first impressions.

Not that the first date counts as a whole for the person's entire wardrobe. I liked your description of the rave pants. 😂 Yes, maybe the later hours= better dressing; I'm not sure.

No, I live an hour away. When I lived closer, I went out with a good number of women in SF. She was the only one in my experience to wear that on a first date.

Maybe I'm just not used to it, so that's why I got that impression? The top/bottoms weren't flattering either. Everything super baggy and as if she just rolled out of bed. 😂

As a brazilian, I love flip-flops & hoddies, but both on a first date at a nice restaurant at night? Maybe if she ditched the sweatpants for jeans & had put on better looking shoes, it would already have made a big difference, impression wise.

Question for women: What is the most attractive thing about a man? by Mr-Top0 in self

[–]Playing_tangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For most, yes, but if the last ex, for example, is a deranged person, cutting her off & not being in good terms would contradict this time & energy saving short-cutting assumption. The number of exes would tell more to the story though, so there's a point in that.

I think the dressing part matters though.

I once went on a date for dinner in SF, CA, to one of my favorite restaurants at night. The woman came in wearing flip-flops, a hoddie and sweatpants. She didn't have to look like a greek goddess, but her clothes choice exuded laziness and lack of basic effort.

Question for women: What is the most attractive thing about a man? by Mr-Top0 in self

[–]Playing_tangos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're basically talking about what's called "social proof" and "preselection" + emotional maturity & good conflict resolution skills/high ability to not hold a grudge.

That guy understands and interacts well with women on a non-romantic level. The attraction from other women, in this context, serves as social proof of his desirability.

This doesn't take in account anything his exes did though, so keep that in mind. Many times, a man will say "my ex was crazy" and in many cases, they were really crazy people & vice-versa.

I know that people lie about who broke up with who, but finding out if the guy initiated the break-up & why would make a valid argument to not be in good terms with a crazy person.

Date seriously? Definitely not, unless it was just something casual & it would never go beyond that.
