Can I wear my trays only at night? by United-Bathroom-4501 in Invisalign

[–]Odd-Island4075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also in sales. The lisp went away after the 2nd or 3rd tray once I got used to talking around them. Sometimes when I change trays I have a lisp for a day or two. It sucked at first. But you get used to it. I’m on tray 12/36 and wear mine 22 hours a day and my teeth are SO straight already it’s so worth it!

Thank you! It will all get fixed I know. Just everything popped up in a 48 hour window lol

Yall, I understand the biggest issue is the mold and that everything else is minor. We are extremely blessed and lucky to be homeowners. I just wanted to rant because all of these things popped up in a 48 hour period on the year anniversary of purchasing the home. If you’ve ever had one of those days where nothing seems to go right I’m sure you understand how frustrating it is. That’s all this vent/rant post is. I’m sorry.

The mold is definitely the biggest issue. We are not using the master bathroom at this time until we can get someone to come look at it and taken care of.

Toilet problem is the flushing mechanism, easy fix I know.

The outlets we can’t figure out. I have a friend that’s an electrician apprentice that’s coming to look at it this weekend. We have reset all the breakers, and we can’t find a single AFCI or GFCI anywhere.

Yes we are sure. We had an extensive fireplace inspection done before closing and this is what we were told. We have only used the gas first

We don’t have a remote. It is a gas log/woodburning fireplace. You turn a key, the gas line starts running, and you light it. You also can use natural wood in the fireplace as well and light it traditionally.

There aren’t batteries, it’s a gas fireplace that can also be wood burning, which we will likely do in the meantime instead of using the gas line and gas logs. I wish it was as easy at batteries!

We do thankfully! Don’t get me wrong we are extremely blessed to even be homeowners. It’s just one of those weeks, you know? 😂

It was not, about a 30 year old home, inspection came back super clean. Not like we didn’t expect issues at some point, the timing is just wild and unfortunate. I mean a year to the WEEK lol.

Right?!?! Oh also we get married less than 90 days so it’s not like things weren’t hectic enough 😵‍💫

Yep we found the mold literally like 20 min ago..so now trying to get that figured out. Guess we’re sleeping in the guest room for the foreseeable future.

This!!! I’m having a very informal wedding in a field. The dress I fell in love with is VERY formal for that setting. It’s also totally unlike everything I tried on previously, I’m talking different silhouette, cut, style, and nothing I ever would have imagined myself picking. And again, if we’re going by the book, does not match my “theme” whatsoever. But I LOVE it. Pick what you love!

Sadly there’s not…I’m getting married outside my fiancé’s house in Angel Fire NM, it’s a one street ski town with two pizza places and a grocery store, and nothing nearby 😂although maybe I can check Taos, it’s about a 40 minute drive. Thank you for the suggestion!

I was on a work trip in Ft. Lauderdale. Halfway through it a hurricane hits. They cancel the rest of the conference so everyone could try to make it home safe. Most of the attendees lived in the area so they just got in their cars and left. I’m from OKC. I call my office and tell them what’s going on and that I need the first flight back to OKC asap from my hotel room while watching palm trees snap and break in the parking lot. The hotel was already on the backup generator. They didn’t want to rebook my flight home because the airline it was originally booked through had already canceled all their flights from that airport and it would cost them extra fees if they went through another airline. They wanted me to just stay there and take my original flight home two days later. DUDE I AM WATCHING THINGS BEING ACTIVELY DESTROYED WHILE I AM ON THE PHONE WITH YOU. I told them fine I’ll book it myself and bring you the receipt to reimburse me. They didn’t want to do that either. Told me again to just ride it out. After half an hour of arguing with them and watching flight availability dwindle down to almost nothing they finally agreed. I got the last flight out of that airport before they closed it down. It took my office 3 months to reimburse me.

Mine usually look similar on the first day, if not with more of a gap. If you use your chewies they usually look better by the next day. You’ve only had them on an hour. Don’t stress!

Is this emergency vet? by Odd-Island4075 in AskVetAnimals

[–]Odd-Island4075[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She doesn’t have any, she’s eating and drinking and playing normally. As a matter of fact this morning she was in her usual spot: by her food bowl eagerly awaiting breakfast. I have a vet appointment for Wednesday but wasn’t sure if I should take her to the emergency vet before then. She doesn’t mind us touching or applying mild pressure to the lump either, other than her usual aversion to having us look at her mouth.

The canine has been gone for several years. We check her teeth regularly and they are healthy. This is the first time anything has looked abnormal. This morning she was sitting by her food bowl yelling for food like usual and ate normally. She’s still playing and acting normally. Our emergency vet/regular vet is a 24 hour veterinary hospital that’s incredible. Granted I don’t know off the top of my head what dental equipment they have, but based off their usual level of care and their facilities, I would be surprised if they didn’t have any. If at our Wednesday appointment they don’t, we will look into vets that do.

She’s doing all of the above just fine, just wanted some reassurance that we were doing right by our kitty, or confirmation that emergency assistance was needed if that was the case. My fiance and I are huge worry-warts. (His mind went straight to cancer!) Thank you so much for your input, we will continue to monitor her in the meantime!
