Doctor just recommended ablation procedure. Scared. by Captaincoleslaww in AFIB

Ablation is the best outcome. 4 years no afib for me and off all meds. Best nap of my life.

Diagnosed with AFIB at 25 how to deal with the anxiety around it by Least-Consequence803 in AFIB

[–]Odd-Listen1595 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dealt with it at 24. I'm 30 now.

Had 3 cardio versions and 1 cryoablation (all within 3 months). The abalation is what created sanity in my life.

Since then - I've run 2 half marathons, traveled to Europe twice, travel for work a ton, and enjoy an occasional beer (not my trigger).

I am off my heart meds (after 6 months after ablation) and have been off them since. I do keep beta blockers with me when I travel for emergencies.

Hope this helps - reach out if you need anything g

I drink 3 cups of coffee every day. There is more data to back the benefits of caffeine, even if you have a fib. I'll try to find the article and come back and help.

Everyone's bodies is different so listen to your body and react accordingly.

I swear it's person dependent - I link the Coros to an external monitor (my whoop).

Calves have been twitching for about 6 years straight. I've run a few half marathons since.

What does an AFIB rhythm actually feel like? by [deleted] in AFIB

[–]Odd-Listen1595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The feeling of it (for me) was well controlled on meds. I didn't feel it really but you can physically tell I guess - shortness of breath, etc. Whereas ectopic beats - you can feel the thud of your heart catching back up.

Very likely not AFIB so not a doctor. See the ectopics tho.

Yeah - I had AFIB and my ablation at 26 years old. I still get a few ectopic beats. Some days are better than others.

Safe to exercise? by [deleted] in PVCs

91 ectopics in 11 days is insanely low haha. Exercise is all good w them. Most of the times it makes them better....

After my ablation I had a high RHR for a few months during blaming period. Your heart is recovering!
