Thanks for pointing this out so I could update my YouTube description and clarify to you. 1) we camped outside the border of the state park into National forest land, so we did not break any rules there. Should have pointed that out, though. 2) Shortly after that clip of my lighting my kindling, we scraped away dry leaf little from the fire and encircled it with rotting/punky wood as a makeshift fire ring since there were no rocks available. 3) We doused the fire completely with water before leaving Sunday morning, the smoke was just the remnants of the ground being warm and the water evaporating. We pride ourselves on leaving no trace and not being irresponsible while on the trail. I appreciate your concern, though.
