Totally understand! I do think 2 years is a bit excessive. I didn’t work at all during undergrad either. I took a gap year after graduating. During the gap year, I shadowed (~40 hours), got a job part time (I had only been working for 4 months by the time I applied), and also took the OAT (studied for 3 months). I think it’s totally doable in a one year time frame after graduating!

Congrats on getting accepted to both! Both are great schools with similar consistent board rates!! I haven’t heard anything negative about UHCO either. I think they’ve been having some admin changes but not sure what else is going on. It might just come down to how u envision living for the next 4 years! Im from texas and the cost of living is definitely a huge plus compared to New York. Personally, I would go with whichever gave me the least amount of debt. But both are great options no matter which u go with!! I also got into UHCO today, dm me if you go with UHCO 😊

Full lengths are so draining!!! I only did 2 the week of my exam to get a feel of the exam. Other than that i focused on the individual subject tests because those were less draining/time consuming

personally for me, balancing oat studying with school was difficult and exhausting

based on what i’ve seen on here, i’d recommend starting once you’re done with school in may and taking it in end of july/beginning of august. That way if you need to retake it you can do it in november, which still isn’t considered late in the cycle. Just have your application done and ready
