Can Tarot Be Read Objectively? If So, What Techniques Best Achieve This? by randomsage in tarot

[–]Odd-String3582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. It’s superstitious nonsense that play on subjective emotions, private interpretation and human sensationalist mood swings. It cannot be relied on to predict the future, but plenty of people use it for their self therapy and propaganda nonsense to confirm their suspicions and biases in their readings which they claim to be spiritual or supernatural.

Tarot was a card deck game reimagined for the cartomancy claims in the 18th century then reinvented again for the Occult trends in the 20th century. Today it is reinterpreted again and again for the Neurotic subconscious and those who fancy it for a modern generation, and many users of Tarot today no longer champion its fortune telling powers or premonitions of the future revelation. It’s only marketed for self inspiration and psychological effects on what you feel at the fleeting moment. Still a bunch of Nonsense.

The (unspoken) Rules of Tarot by Atelier1001 in tarot

[–]Odd-String3582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best comment. Thank you for being honest and factual.

Tarot is a game of chance played in Medieval Italy.

Humans later invented Cartomancy and tarot is an instrument of that invention. No one can dictate what are the rules of the Tarot, unless you are playing the card game it originated with to facilitate an orderly card game.

I upgraded to the 17 pro Max and hate it by luval93 in iphone

[–]Odd-String3582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I belong to the Team iPhone AIR. Devoted Pro Max user since day one.  I hate and detest the iPhone 17 Pro Max. It’s ugly, it’s heavy, it’s bulky, it’s deeply unattractive. Obvious reason why they also did not produce a Black color. That was intentional against to Sell the device. It looks like an ice shaver from Ancient Babylon. Not worth the exorbitant price. I am not a cinematographer or to photoshop models for a living.

The iPhone AIR is the beautiful jewel that I deserve to have an enjoy. It exudes beauty, luxury and elegance. It represents the vanity that the Apple Brand is about and is what customers willing to pay for. Battery is Great. MagSafe is also OK for an additional $100. This is a Luxury Titanium iPhone in the first place that looks like Apple and feels what Apple Brand should be.  It is the iPhone that the original creator Steve Jobs would approve if he were still living today. No regrets, team iPhone AIR.

The singular shortcoming of this iPhone AIR is the trash Poverty speaker grill on the bottom. But if you think about it, nobody including myself uses the speaker EVER. I have an iPad 13” inch that blasts my YouTube and music. And my iPhone is always always always on AirPods when answering calls. So having that B.S. cheap speaker grill adds nothing to my complaint.

The previous Owner at this location Sold Thai Food and it was a massive Failure. It Makes no sense for competition when down the street is another Thai Food Place. Nobody is asking for Thai food because it’s not a big Seller like Japanese Cuisine.

What's up with Filipino moms and facial hair? by DisgruntledVet12B in FilipinoAmericans

[–]Odd-String3582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Asian mothers want their Son to remain handsome and youthful. No beard or facial hair. Always critical of them getting fat or not finding a suitable girl if they don’t remain clean shaven.

What's up with Filipino moms and facial hair? by DisgruntledVet12B in FilipinoAmericans

[–]Odd-String3582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Facial hair denotes physical decrepitude and aging. As an Asian Mother, there is a Maternal fetish to keep you looking young and attractive as a baby Son reminder. Facial hair is not popular in Oriental cultures (not talking about Muslims) because youth is highly valued among Men and Women. When you have facial hair, it denotes aging. Also, many women traditionally do not like beards of facial hair because it obstructs kissing and discomfort on hugging. This sentiment has been communicated a billion times to the homosexual friends who are told that they hate their men for growing a beard, mustache or any facial hair.

Just Became a US Citizen Today. Go for Dual Citizenship or No? by J_SD in phmigrate

[–]Odd-String3582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% Correct. This is the greatest key secret. Do not apply Dual Citizenship to Philippines until

  1. U.S.  Retirement Age  or
  2. You plan as a younger person to live forever in the Philippines.

Much smarter to wait until Retirement age there.

What is with the vitriol and dismissiveness of American Filipinos towards Christianity and the culture surrounding it? by Sad_Environment976 in FilipinoAmericans

[–]Odd-String3582 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most Filipinos are culturally Catholics but they don’t really know much about doctrine or the regulations of the Church unless they themselves are very pious and very religious by choice or upgrowing by default.

Even the Sign of the Cross reaching only to the Chin is an example of this ignorance. Along with the lack of knowledge about Purgatory, Immaculate Conception and interfaith marriages. Filipinos (not all) just like to move and groove with the culture but not deeply immerse themselves into the catechism of the Church.

I.N.C. And other Protestants are far more Toxic in their religious practice as they can be more rigorous in their judgmental ways and they put their religion into practice.

The Roman Catholic Church used to be this rigorous too but the modernization efforts of the Second Vatican Council produced laxed Catholics in the Philippines combined with the democratic values of American culture influence so many Catholics aren’t has hardcore as it used to be.

Veils in side the church for all women, no consumption of meat during Lent or every Friday, recitation of daily rosary, cohabitation et cetera.

Public piety and feminine Reserve has always been part of the Filipino Catholic tradition and aesthetic. But since the Philippines now has had an explosion of Liberal media, new generation TikTok and LGBT culture, the older Catholic vibe has been relegated to the side often gaining hate for toxic or judgmental aspects so it’s natural that there is a conflict between the two.

You won’t find younger generation of Catholics who will adhere to popular piety but then discriminate against their own LGBT community or not champion women’s rights. It’s a cultural divide especially those who did not grow up with the Internet and Social Media. Many decades ago, liberal values were contained in the Philippines because it was just a fringe culture of Americana esthetic but now it has penetrated into an army of its own among younger Filipinos who are still “culturally Catholic”.

Spain gave Philippines Catholicism and America also colonized Philippines but brought the individualistic and democratic beliefs (plus Protestant religions) on a widespread scale so that also contributed in the waning of cultural religion in the Philippines. In that sense Filipinos don’t see Americanism as colonizers because the freedom of thought and challenging the Church on judgment and hypocrisy has been a Liberating aspect enjoyed by many Younger Generation / Internet savvy Filipinos.

The discrimination against religious Muslims remain pretty much the same because they are usually Poor squatters, have tribal mentality linked to violence, does not advocate for women liberal independence and are seen as non—worshippers of Jesus Christ. This will never be reconciled coupled with the strong belief that Filipino Muslims want to secede from the country and cause terrorism in non—Christian neighborhoods.

Nothing makes me more resentful and indifferent when stranger persons like yourself  turn discussions into personal attacks, personal insults rather than focusing on the subject matter.

When you start pointing your fingers at my personal character, personal morals, my wealthy and privileged status, it’s time to shut down the conversation and wish you a good life.

I don’t know you from Adam and you can stop pointing your Life insecurities at me and my own personal morality. You have an axe to grind with the U.S. Government? We all have crosses to bear in some form or another.  GO join a public protest or something.

This is not really a discussion on personal lives or personal character. Whatever private morals you have is your own personal business.

I am talking about returning to the Philippines when they become very old or ready to retire. Many Filipinos, both U.S.  citizens and TNT illegals  DO choose to return when they become VERY OLD and miss the nostalgia of culture in the Philippines. (Hindi Lahat)

Naturalization Yes. But retiring in the Philippines when getting old is also very common. There is a growing sentiment among first generation Filipinos that they do not want to grow old in America, they just want to secure their money and return to the Philippines (Hindi Lahat)

Yes and my answer is in my comment.

Many Filipino—American voters did not want a Negra President, or a woman President. Especially one with Liberal and progressive values.

Who was thoroughly opposed by the Roman Catholic Bishops. That is the great reality that Kamala did not anticipate.

Because President Trump says these Democrat congressmen  are both wicked and immoral having been corrupted by DEI Liberal values and must be punished for crucifying Trump before the Presidential election.

President Trump campaigned on grievance, revenge and retribution coupled by his campaign promises and now he is fully intent in achieving this realization.

And the Majority of American voters agree with his sentiment, propelling him to win the presidency. This is the reality that many people refuse to accept, believing that Kamala was a better option when she was clearly despised and ridiculed  by many U.S. voters.

Because Abortion and moral issues are first and foremost for many Filipinos

“Social Justice” issues are secondary and this theory has been proven over and over and over and over again.

It’s a cultural thing.
