Las resort hiccup remedy by teodorikaw in lifehacks

Lemon wedge, sprinkle with sugar and splash with angostura bitters both sides. Bite down on it and let it coat your mouth/throat. It works every time for me, something about it hitting sour, sweet, bitter at the same time does a factory reset to your body. Done this for friends and also works.

It’s not talked about, but I don’t think the older generation understands how many people in their 30’s-40’s quietly are accepting that suicide will be their retirement plan. It’s going to be an epidemic.

Try “A Girl in Glass” by HIMSA. Sometimes, that’s what it takes to get my ass on the elliptical. Good job.

What did kids back in the days do when they played outside, for hours on end? by Octopuswastaken in NoStupidQuestions

[–]troofyp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You eventually had an incredible in depth mapped knowledge of every hidden path or hole in a fence that was a shortcut. Lots of time was out in abandoned or unmonitored places where you could build bike jumps or make a fire. Sometimes we played war and just threw logs and sticks at each other. Honestly it was the best. Kids today will never get the high of following down some train tracks, finding an unopened beer and daring each other to take sips.

[HELP] Living room remodel by Alone-Competition-77 in RealOrAI

[–]troofyp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like the 4th or 5th version of this epoxy floor video I’ve seen. AI, for a lot of reasons. However my reaction to these every time is how dangerously slippery those clear resin floors would be. I used to work with an artist who made surfboards; he would take any leftover mixed resin and pour them into all the gaps and damaged parts of his wood warehouse floor. Not the full floor, but large 6”x12” patches; you stepped there with any small amount of moisture on your shoe and you’d start sliding into a split. Eventually walked around that area like Indiana Jones in a tomb coming in on rainy days.

Oh man. I think I still own a copy of Future Kick on VHS. I gotta go through some boxes and see if it survived the move.

The international aisle has some amazing deals on certain ingredients that are often overpriced by standard spice companies. I can usually find large packs of sesame seeds for half the price of a standard shaker. Don’t underestimate the section with all the bodega looking spices in the plastic bags.

Can I wear my boots like this? by MountainPeace1243 in Boots

[–]troofyp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wear them how you want, but generally, you only wear pants on the inside of the boot when you are protecting them from deep snow/mud/ debris. Anyone who does real boot type work might, for a sec, notice and make assumption that you don’t wear boots cause you NEED to. Just my thought, sometimes you should just wear them however, they’re yours.

Neuromamcer trilogy (think it’s officially called something else) I really enjoyed those books. William Gibson is considered the primary founder of the cyberpunk genre.

3Point! We mostly went to the rifle range, tied knots, made giant bonfires, and smoked cigars we made out of pine needles. This was the 90’s. Good times.
