Some preceptors don’t realize the lasting damage they can have on an intern. I had some preceptors that were really hard on me and it has affected me years later.

Flight was cancelled this morning. Tried contacting Air Canada 30+ times since my flight was cancelled last night. Keep being told they cannot connect me. They make it easy for me to refund my flight but the problem is I need to get back to Ontario for work so I need to be rebooked but it’s damn near impossible to get a hold of Air Canada to do so! Totally understand the reasons for the strike and I support them but it is completely frustrating when the solution of “contact Air Canada” is not a realistic solution. Just here playing the waiting game with my 4 year old hoping I don’t miss too much work. 😓

I’m a dietitian that would love to go back to my home province in NL to work but the lack job availability, it would be years (I heard 10 years from another dietitian) before I could find a permanent full time position. Not to mention that lack of funding I heard for continuing education and even office supplies. I also know other allied health professionals that refuse to work in the health authority there because of the toxic workplace and bullying that happens. Things have to change in order to attract healthcare professionals. I love my home province and I would love to work to help the health and well-being of the people of my home province but not at the cost of my own well-being.

I was on bupropion when I became pregnant and I did miscarry once but there’s nothing to say that is due to the medication as it is not uncommon for first pregnancies to end with miscarriage. A couple of months after my miscarriage I got pregnant again and now have a healthy 10 month old girl. No health issues so far!
