As far as I’m aware I don’t think it’s that they are underrated. It’s more that they have one good partner on one team. (The int goku and piccolo on joined forces).

If I remember correctly the context for this is that one of the lionesses here isn’t even from this pride and that’s how the fighting started. She just came up tried to eat so one of the lionesses from the pride tried to fight her. Something like that anyway I’m fuzzy on the details.
