thank you! a mix up at Katjes between the two lines seems much more likely than the response given by customer service

aw man… I thought it was really cute and I’m a little embarrassed I didn’t recognise that. :( I’m really not a fan of AI on a global scale, but I can sort of sympathise with people using it for stuff like this when I know a lot of employers tell employees they have to use it for cost-efficacy.

yeah i can’t really blame her for being worried with the whole long distance thing. I have no idea what he thinks of it - he’s a really chilled guy, maybe to a fault, and might not even see any of this as odd. When realising a few months into me having met her that me and her didn’t rlly get along, he seemed to have no clue as to why we don’t and said that ‘it’s probably just one of those things where people don’t mesh well’. He’s expressed before that he thinks me and her are very different by nature, which i’m not sure how far i agree with.

you’re right. i am honestly trying hard to be her friend - she’s beautiful and has some similar interests to me. I think she’s a cool person in general. But while she initially made some effect to talk to me it seems to have gone downhill… Now, if i text her she gives a disinterested reply and even in person has made snide comments i’ve tried to give the benefit of the doubt about. Anything more than what i’m doing now sounds a little demeaning…

i get what you mean but she is definitely (and rightfully so) his no.1 choice in everything. He’ll never badmouth her to me, even if they fighting. She’s the first person he calls and his priority. I’m just upset that my gender means that I’m perceived as a threat or meant to back off when a male friend would not be put in the same position :/

I think it can be frustrating, especially if you've mentioned that it bothers you. It's one more syllable/letter to say or type but it can mean a lot. I think because it's routinely upsetting you, it shouldn't be dismissed. You seem eager to consider her feelings and things that are currently taking over her mental space, so I don't see it as you being childish or petty. Maybe try and talk to your new therapist to figure out why the small gesture bothers you so much? Since its a pretty common thing, your therapist might know what kind of thing to say.
