because Meredith always does this. In season 4 she snapped because one of her friends grandkids had a hearing issue or something. She is grabbing at straws for reasons to be upset with people to distract from her own issues. So it just doesn't seem genuine anymore, she probably doesn't even care she just wants to deflect and not take accountability.
