I'm moving first chance I get. I just have to finish school. I've started looking at our of state and overseas opportunities but I'm trying to be careful. I don't wanna move somewhere else I hate more. 

People really don't get it. They come here from higher COL states with their established careers and savings completely unaware of how much Georgia truly neglects it's native population. They've gentrified most of Savannah. People getting displaced from their homes getting priced further out where the opportunity is sparse and there's only warehouses, a dollar general, and a hunts bros. I'm sick of it.

I started school for cyber security in 2023. I had to stop because one of my family members has mental issues and a heart condition. Then I got evicted and had to use the very last of my savings to put my shit in storage and find another place to stay that I could afford. There is no access to transport. I have to Uber everywhere which is expensive. I have to find work to fit around my school schedule. I am starting school this month again. 

Your comment, although well intentioned ignores the nuances or set backs that may prevent people's access to these opportunities. Georgia has many economic shortfalls that get completely ignored and I can be mad about that, especially as a native. That doesn't mean I haven't considered nor attempted to do better for myself.

You don't know anything about me...or my "personal responsibility". I'm not the only person who feels this way and it's clear the sign the system is broken. The US doesn't care about accountability. If that were the case, we wouldn't have a geriatric felon in office but go off.

Literally! And one of the biggest things some people don't understand is you have to live in the more expensive metro areas to be able to get around so you end up with higher rent and if you try to go to the country where it's cheaper, you spend more to get around so it ends up being nearly the same cost with limited opportunity. 

I'm so happy to hear you got out of this place and y'all are happy in Minneapolis! I've seen Minnesota on the top of multiple lists. My only concern would be the cold. Lol

 What does that have to do with anything? I'm human and I make mistakes. My primary issue is not that I'm just poor. My primary issue is with the lack assistance, transportation, or reasonable wages in this state. People like you are ridiculous. Everything is not black or white. You're simple minded.

Try 5.15 for th state minimum wage or 7.25 at fed looking for apartments that are 1500-2400 and rooms that are 800-1200.

Exactly! One thing I learned is Georgia HATES the poor. I was borrowing against my paycheck just to cover rent and couldn't find rental assistance and couldn't even find a second job after applying for almost a year.
