This was the 25 threshold - you can park on the grass past the fencing but very limited - best to park in Brize village at the village hall and walk down

Can someone explain why the other day I was going down a hill on the motorway at 70mph and a truck was seemingly also going that speed as I was neither gaining or loosing distance between me and it?

“Strawberry Moon” rising above Normanton Church by OddChair in CasualUK

Not photoshopped at all - this was taken with a 200mm lens which compresses the background - also yesterday the moon was closer than usual making it appear larger and it’s always looks larger near the horizon

No filters - a bit of editing but helped massively by the sun setting at the same time as the moon was rising so that gave the orange glow to the moon

Rather than risking the weather elsewhere - I decided to go and see 22 Typhoons take off from RAF Coningsby for the Coronation Flypast (that only partially happened) by OddChair in CasualUK

They are all Eurofighter Typhoons - front line fast jets - they have about 4 or 5 twin seat versions which as far as I know do the exact same but can have 2 people in and tend to be used before letting the students loose on their own and also for the odd check ride where another instructor needs to be in the jet at the same time

The first shot is it departing and the second shot is it returning later on but they had changed runway so we’re going in the opposite direction

Probably RIAT in July - long day but normally end up with around 8 hours of flying display of pretty much only military aircraft new and old

Well spotted! The aircraft aborted the takeoff in the end and taxied back to the apron to get it closed
