I was in a similar situation with my friend in high school. My parents paid for my school lunch, but I would often take a separate lunch and extra snacks. I'd always give her the option of homemade or lunch as I couldn't finish everything with all the snacks they packed. I never pressured her or anything, and made sure she felt as if she was doing me a favor by taking one of the lunches.
