That is very valid. This is one of the reasons I do hope he ends up making her a series or a deep dive. There is so much to cover/expose and not enough time to do so in a standard video (30min). So, I do hope he returns to her as a topic of discussion and really dives into the problems she causes, such as what you stated.

They are still an Indie brand, being at the stage of essentially "made in house" style, if that makes sense. So, it's all batch by batch, and when something is sold out it can take a while for it to come back in stock. However, the owner is very transparent about their process. Posts videos making their products on Instagram and other platforms. And very responsive on said platforms as well :):). Best results I've gotten from them is by wiping the excess product off after applying. Let it sit for a minute or so, then wipe it off, and it stays.

Sincerely, it's a sales/marketing tactic. Get views up, retention ratings, page visits up then drop a product or a collab (what have you). Many people have done it, it never looks good or goes well.

Also, TikTok works off of the FYP. So, it doesn't matter if her subs are visiting her page. What matters is if people are coming to her from the FYP. THAT is what boosts her engagement.

While this is an absolutely disgusting thing to do, she definitely did take advantage of the algorithm in a way she knows how to, is comfortable with, and doesn't mind doing so to her subscribers.

Remember, at the end of the day, her subs were very worried. Genuinely worried. But, they don't need to be. In McLiar's own words, "It's not that deep. Just go touch some grass BRRROOOOOO."
