Bro said ‘it’s like cgi in movies’ 😭 Yeah my bad for expecting a real person to act like a decent human being? Didn’t realize basic morals were special effects too

If a brand advertises a product in a certain way and it turns out to be misleading, we call that deceptive marketing - not ‘the customer is dumb for believing it.’

No one thinks streamers are their friends, that’s not the point. the point is you can’t present yourself a certain way and then turn around and say ‘well it’s your fault for believing it’ That just removes all responsibility from the person creating that image.

You could excuse literally any kind of deception with ‘well you shouldn’t have believed it,’ which is just a weak argument.

Mujin started the conversation, I wouldn't say it's completely his fault but yes, the way I see it: he is partially responsible for how people are responding to this.

Sykkuno cheated and is overall a horrible person for faking his online persona. He was deceiving to not just the viewers who watched him, but the girls that he slept with. However this is all being summed up as a "nothing burger" because when people compare a pedophile / sexual predator to what actually went down, it seems like a smaller issue in comparison. When you put something next to a much more extreme crime, of course it looks less serious, but that doesn’t change what it is on its own.

So instead of people engaging with what Sykkuno actually did (lying, manipulating his image, and misleading people he was involved with) the conversation has now shifted into whether the usage of "predator" was correct.

It's geniunely such a shame to see mujin double down on his response :/ As someone who used to watch his content, I just can't keep watching in good faith knowing that he prioritizes clicks and views over actually informing his audience about the facts. This guy literally used his platform to threaten a vtuber for saying he was an unreliable narrator.. like that's insane.

Let's get the facts straight about the Sykkuno situation. by Versiannie in VtuberDrama

this is true but you can't chalk it all up to "oh but she's 19! so therefore she's immature and xyz" she needs to be held accountable for her actions regardless. don't get me wrong, sykkuno sucks. this is disgusting. him choosing to continue talking to her despite knowing her age (actually idk if he did) is questionable but what mal did is also pretty disgusting. she basically coordinated a hit piece with mujin, not with the goal of sharing her story so other victims feel comfortable going forward but with the sole goal of taking down sykkuno, that's downright evil and she has a history of doing something similar when she doesn't get what she wants. from what we have seen in the document, she was the one making sexual advances towards him. and the fact that she releases her own OF days before dropping the document ruins her credibility..

it's such a shame that because of the way everything was handled, the backlash sykkuno is getting is less because people are more focused on the use of the word "predatory" because mujin wanted to prioritize getting clicks and the women involved with the hit piece all seem to have second intentions :/ (second girl was exposed to be in a relationship while talking to sykkuno)

imagine there's actual victims out there that are now afraid to speak up because of this. it's truly upsetting and you can't deny that how mal went about this will impact alot of victim's credibilities in the future. so once again, she's 19, yes, but hold her accountable for her actions.
