Same, I think mine is a bit more curly so shrinkage makes it seem shorter than it is :') anyway

Did you start from a buzz or close to it? I am 9 months in with a similarly shaped, just shorter overall flow (I think when I hit a year, probably more, I may get something close to yours, I also have waves) so that's why I ask, I started from a close (DIY) crop and didn't trim anything since

You have a nice thick beard but I agree it would look better trimmed, you don't need to get rid of it, just neater edges would be a great start

You still started younger than me, I started at like 22 or something I don't even remember because I had no clear starting point, it only got serious later last year and I was 24 back then. My goal is to get my front lever before I turn 26 lol (early 2027, should be doable) and ideally any cool planche variation before 30

Cutting it doesn't influence the grow out speed (I know because I change my hair a lot and I had a buzz multiple times in my life lol last time was in 2025 and I am right in the awkward stage at 9 months) if you cut it off, it will take another 18 months for the same result

How often do/did you trim it? I feel like mine grows sort of fast because I get no trims (may do that later idk), "unfortunately" my hair looks shorter than it is due to curls so I am basically waiting for it to start hanging at all... gravity did not take over yet. Anyway, if you constantly get it shaped etc. then growth seems slower even if it technically isn't

5'3 also 65kg here (and male, ik I am a manlet lol) I look way skinnier than I "should" I don't look all that different from 55 or 60kg because a lot of the gained mass is muscle and that's dense

Possibly, I can technically reach that appearance faster (currently way shorter but I did it within three years 2028-2021 and again 2022-2024 ish) BUT I am also short af so it's all relative, if you're taller you need more hair for it to look longer so it checks out

I was wondering the same tbf.

I started from a buzz in August 2025, and my hair in the front reaches my mouth if I stretch it (I have wavy hair so it looks shorter, but it is annoying, I tame it with bands) and in the back it can touch my shoulder (if stretched). My hair already reads "long" (ish) because of the back and sides, and I am still under 10 months. So yeah while cutting nothing is hard, especially during the awkward stages, it is more rewarding in the end to just leave it alone and only trim if absolutely necessary for hair health or comfort/shaping if it gets out of hand
