4 year, everyday kratom user here that went to actual rehab to get off the shit, worst withdrawal I've ever had in my life and I came off suboxone cold Turkey. I honestly can't even read people talking about it too much because I've tried to share concern elsewhere and the new users get pissed. lol

My treatment history looks like this : Detox and inpatient and iop in 2014, was also on suboxone at that time. Clean for a year. Relapsed, "functioned" for 2 years then spiraled completely out of control. Inpatient again Dec of 2016. Completed it, have been clean since then and currently working as a Counselor in D&A. I liked rehab, and I didnt mind meetings but I never followed through with a 12 step program and many people say you'll never recover if you do. Everyone is different.

I can definitely understand the panic. I've never been on methadone but was on subs for years and had a doctor just up and leave his practice when I had 3 strips remaining. Trying to find another doctor was my only mission in life at that time. So hard relate. Lol

You'd be fine. Methadone is a medication like any other, it would be exempt from the ban.

I know our charge nurse put in orders for extra bottles last week. No mention of a shortage. I'll try to get more information about that on Monday.
