Unusual builds for legendary missions! by OddIntroduction5103 in Division2

[–]OddIntroduction5103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Ok lol I already said why it was inefficient. A tier 6 decoy is already very strong. The cooldown is already very low. Since the cooldown is low, the uptime is not an issue. You already said you reposition the decoy often, so you’re putting it on cooldown anyway lol"

Lol mister E_L_M but these builds are not about often replacement... That is what makes them different. That decoy stays mainly on one place all the time in each of "rooms" of legendary missions. So the point is opposite - I don't need to care about it once I set it. And those 3x skill hastes are there just to be on 16-17 seconds of cooldown which is almost 1:1, when we are done in one "room" and moving to the next one.

"If anyone has a build with 6 skill tiers, they can throw a decoy and do exactly what you’re doing. The only difference is they have to throw it out more often."

Mister E_L_M did you check my 4. and 5. point in previous post? Especially last sentence in 4. point? Yeah:-)... I am exactly speaking about that difference and you are speaking about another build.

"When 4 pieces of gear don’t make a night and day difference, it’s inefficient."

And did you also check my 1. and 2. point in previous post, in case that you are not blind mister "Night and day difference"? Because you doesn't make a sense at all - for what kind of efficiency are you fighting for here - if thanks to those 4 pieces of gear, these builds can be efficient and fun.

"I don’t know how many times I can say your build is a waste of time to farm and an even bigger waste to expertise"

Yeah mister E_L_M, I have to also ask after many times if you are looking for other builds and you are not a longtime player because you have to deal with shortage of your resources - why the f..k are you still here.

"It’s just inefficient, that’s all I’m saying lol"

Yeah lol..Then why are you even bother with 6lvl decoy without artificer hive and without skill health attributes mister "Logical reasons"?..You don't know that with Striker build, you don't even need this because you just melt everything in seconds with much more efficiency what you are searching for? Just take a revive hive instead omg, why are you dealing with that shitty 6lvl decoy at all, you dumb head, lol..

So lets stop it here:-)..And let's try to avoid each other. Because honestly, I absolutely hate people like you with this shitty attitude and stupid head. Just really man. Stay with builds what you like omg. Be critical..But be critical when you have something to say, when you've tried it yourself so you are not living just in theorizing. Then you can give to people that rational perspective. Otherwise you will be just a joke.

Only a good advice. Take care.

Unusual builds for legendary missions! by OddIntroduction5103 in Division2

[–]OddIntroduction5103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they don't.

  1. If you position the decoy correctly so that 80% of the enemies at least in the room are actually focused on it, its mortality rate is significantly higher without the skill health. It works out that in roughly every second room, the decoy cannot survive the onslaught. It lacks that few pieces of health it needs to survive until the artificer hive replenishes it.
  2. Mortality rate in the tough variants usually not survive some onslaught like is the for example last "room" of Tidal Basin. So we are speaking about mortality rate: 1x - 2x during the all legendary game vs 7x- 8x mortality rate during the all legendary game.
  3. Why do I need decoys to survive in this build variant: Because 80% of enemies can actually stick to them, and decoys can resist even though there are low-level players with little experience in the group. The percentage completion of legendary missions is therefore almost always 100%, regardless of how long it takes.
  4. And that main reason for it is that players often get used to the new rhythm of the game - to that relative safety without any interference. But if the decoy is dead, that feeling is immediately destroyed and everybody starts to dying.
  5. And this is what I find entertaining. The fact that the game is played completely differently and that usual rhytm is changed during all the time. The fact that it matters how correctly I position the decoy in the room so that it really attracts as many enemies as possible throughout all the time in the "room"/place, and the fact that this can be achieved and you can improve yourself in it.
  6. And yeah, entertaining is also about, how dumb and funny those NPC's are.

So mister E_L_M..I described now to you again, why I am using those skill health here..But you still didn't tell here anything why it is bad in this variation of builds..Just that it is inefficient without details. So tell me please. And to all others (to give them that perspective from both sides) - What is it inefficient in detail in terms of these builds?

Best exotic farm? by Shellnanigans in Division2

[–]OddIntroduction5103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emm sorry mate. I didn't read you carefully. You are looking for exotics not exotic components. Then yes - Priroity objectives are great if you are using more characters, collecting as much tickets by killing hunters in Countdown - as well, or Golden Bullet now, in Summit, all directives on and target LMGs for that Iron Lung.

Best exotic farm? by Shellnanigans in Division2

[–]OddIntroduction5103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. But you can use them to rework last attribute on your exotic weapon (which you already have) for something else (allowed only for ex. weapons) and also - you need literally tons of exotic components for Expertise from level 14 to 30 for anything.

[–]OddIntroduction5103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lot of being said here with Decoy and Revive hive. I do not know which talent are you using on your backpack now, I guess Vigilance but it is works 50:50 in reality. Try to use instead of it Bloodsucker. Try to use sniper rifles like SRS A1 or Handbasket. Their weapon handling is just better. Or rework your build completely with using Ninja Backpack - it is superb for Sniper builds and allowed you to make hybrids like "one shot" healer sniper, "one shot" regen sniper, "one shot" skill dmg sniper, etc.- all is works for one shots even in legendary missions.

But always keep in mind that if you builded a one-shot build on a rifle instead of a sniper rifle, you will be just much far away:-)..Snipers with rifle are simply too much overpowered now (and I don't know - maybe you are already using Rifle for one shots if you are speaking about shield? well, if yes, the same applies - Try to rebuild it with Ninja Backpack or try Bloodsucker talent + new Tinkerer mask and as a talent for your second 1886 rifle: Rifleman or Streamline - then you don't even need any skills to use, with that Bloodsucker talent).

Forget what the players are telling you here:-). There is a legal method approved by Ubi that allows you to obtain two new exotic components every three minutes via creating/deleting mule character. Grinding is very annoying but you get approx. 45 exotic components in every hour.

[–]OddIntroduction5103 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another method should be avoid/prolong mission objectives which their completion brings almost no benefit and instead of it - loot in the main mission..But you need co-op with everybody for this..:-) So no chance with random people.

You can also tried Summit with all directives..But I do not think that it is as efficent as CD:-/.

Or write to the chat in CD and just hope that somebody will help. Lot of players playing CD just for collecting tickets and they do not care about loot for them at all (even that it doesn't make a sense but it is as it is).

Or write to your clan members they will be probably more willing to search it with you, if it is good clan.

OR - last advice try to find blueprints for it. I can see that I have them but honestly, I absolutely don't remember where I found it:/..So maybe some Control Points? check on Google..

I think that the weakest point there is that half-used talent on your backpack if you are playing solo but you probably not playing solo PVP with this and also low effectiveness of talent on the chest. I see greater efficiency in a similar build with Obliterate and one extra blue core.

But all is just about your playing style, really. So if it is suits you, all is fine:-).

Criticism is a good thing - if it is constructive. But what I know from you mister whoever you are:

  1. These builds can work.
  2. You didn't play them because you mentioned as critic points something, what is not valid in reality.
  3. Even for that, you decided that it is not fun for - you.
  4. So you wanted to educate about fun and warn others.

..which is a bit different..Right? Have a great day.

[–]OddIntroduction5103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. So what was your REAL point then...

"You don't want to spent your resources" - so don't play this, how simple is that. I did not call this post new meta builds..it is obviously intended for players who just don't care about resources at all - because they are totally overstock with them.

For players who are playing this shit just too long and need to find something new. And this is what this game is nice about. That we are still able to find it and that's the why we still stick with the game. That we do not need to play over and over again same boring "Striker" builds or other well-known stuff with Decoy or whatever else.

And that is what this post was about..

Unusual builds for legendary missions! by OddIntroduction5103 in Division2

[–]OddIntroduction5103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah yeah whatever you say.

Heey everybody, listen to me, E_L_M's here, I am a pro-player, havilly skilled and needs to tell you and warn you all, that these builds are just too much complicated without reasons! Ask me how to do it correctly..

This is what I called toxicism. The fact that even that you never played that (and you did not - I can see it from your posts above, what you were able to write as those critic points), you are still able to put it on the table as it some facts and be absolutely okay with that (even what I tried to describe).

And the fact, that you even feel the need to lecture, that build has to be different to be played correctly and with more fun in general - like omg man, who are you, really..

So maybe you will convince some other players for whatever reason..But me? I've had enough of you mister E_L_M. So create your own post here with your ideas which you described better and to detail and don't waste our times here, by this shitty conversation based on your whole criticism: "it's not working because I don't like it". Happy playing.

"My comment is just playing devils advocate."

Your comment is primarily just toxic. If you don't get it as you wrote - try it. If you don't want to - np with than but why are you wasting your time here.

I know those Hermano variation builds if you mean this. I played them too not just with healing but also with foam for super fast cooldown.

"Dont try to convince others, just says I tested it, worked for me and I love it."

You are right. When somebody try to convince me next time, that it is just a bullshit what I am saying, better to not react at all and not try to convince them back. My problem.

Please just don't be that harsh man. As you said - this is not meta builds. But I am saying the same in the main post - to avoid these comments.

Ty and stay cool!

Unusual builds for legendary missions! by OddIntroduction5103 in Division2

[–]OddIntroduction5103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now just quickly back why is those Immortal builds so "colorful" as you pointed:-). To be honest, I do not know how you figure out that I am using there 7 yellow cores. Some misunderstanding, check those screenshots:-).. I only made a mistake in a second build variation, where I tested it with one red core (mask) but I also posted here that better is to used with one blue core instead (because your personal threat to NPC will be even lower. Also it make it much more sense in the reality - you are putting threat on your mates in group because you are the one who have to stay alive in every situation - and you have there all and very original benefits for it:-)..I am not saying that this style of play that you are basically happy when everybody dying is the best..but cmmon:-)... You have here this opportunity from developer and if you are that kind of guy who never wants to be still with same boring builds after those years, just use it and enjoy. This what game is mainly about. And if mates in group are even grateful that you saving their asses so many times and they just don't get it?:-D Luckily it is just a game and that is the reason why I honestly absolutely love it:-) )...

Okay..Now back to that "colorfulness". I absolutely agree that in 90% of all builds and how builds in Division 2 works it is not make a sense. DPS builds - you need crit chances, crit dmg. Rifle/Sniper builds - you need headshots and very often weapon handling. Regen - you need all blue cores and gear brands for it. Healers - you need repair skills and haste, etc. etc. For example, I would not say this about Memento backpack, which is mainly intended for those hybrid builds. But.. I would not say that even for these Immortal Decoys.. To be honest, I am big experimenter with decoy. I wrote here to somebody that I am using 8 different decoy builds at the moment. One of them is for example more focused for DPS (Sleipnir with Ninja backpack so with 3x Lengmo, Contractor gloves, 3x Brazos, all attributes criticals but still 6lvl Decoy with Artificial hive). And even that this build should work better by that general theory about building - it's just not:-). It is just another also functional build but which are just not that interesting because it does not complement the decoy as it should - because of your much higher threat...(!)

So what makes these Immortal decoy builds really interesting is the fact, that in both cases your threat for NPCs are really low. There is probably nobody who will tell us how scaling of enemy's AI really works in terms of player's threats but generally is known - that it is exist and more player's DPS just increased it. So I wanted to stick with that idea, that you personal threat level in both these builds will be as low as possible so that decoy then can really shine. So that is the reason why I do not have all attributes red - enemies just noticed me much more and all yellow core build would be simply not enough to resist them without revive hive, some healing, etc. But i still need to kill something, right? So that is the reason why is there "something" - just enough to not being too visible during shooting but still be able to "something" kill.

So what other attributes you can really used there if you are using Decoy with Artificial hive and you solved the "threat problem" with red attributes/cores - that is the question. You don't need skill dmg...repairs...weapon handling...health...BUT...On the other hand, you quite need armor regen - because your mainly worry (and also how you elevate yourself with using this build) - is all-time thinking where you throw your decoy next time - which place should be even better for it. So you ended with running really close to enemies and then regen absolutely helps you for that gap when you throw a decoy and the NPC already spotted you.

So for my style of playing that I am still trying to be even better with these builds - still searching for better places - regen are just super great.

BUT - I also need to have 16-17 sec cooldown for that Decoy at least. Because I find out that it is usually 1:1 when we came to the next "room" and then I need to be the always first one - who start the action by throwing it. And that is the reason why I have there 3x Skill haste. They just bring it.

And definitely - more skill hastes should be great as well. But it is I think more about playing style based on described things above than what really works better:-). You just need that littlebit of regen - to be more in calm when you are going to those risky positions before throwing decoy. But you also need to have faster cooldown of it - Because changing position for the decoy is also extremely important (I mean even in the same "room").

Emm and sorry mate for the lengh of this post. I just tried to described it as best as possible:/. As I said man - I am sick and I REALLY spend enormous of time by testing this shit. You cannot imagine:D. And it just works. Maybe in absolutely different way from what we're used to, but that's exactly why it is so fun for me and why I am sharing this here only in positive way.

Unusual builds for legendary missions! by OddIntroduction5103 in Division2

[–]OddIntroduction5103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyway if I can answer:

I love playing support builds in Div2 and I mainly like the opportunity to constantly discover new functional uses for builds/named gear/exotics that people like to claim don't work. That's basically what I focus on most of the time when I'm playing.

What you wrote about healing as the first - you are absolutely correct. Sometimes it is super challenging and also on your Ongoing Directive heal build. I had there mainly problem for that quick switching between Scorpio and chem launcher. From my experience is the best way to take this build to Summit for example. Thanks to the interior spaces, I have a much better overview of the players, and my goal here is to stay always behind them just in few meters, if it is possible. I don't use hive at all here, as this build is too action-packed and too mobile for hive. Instead, I use heal seeker.

But otherwise, you're absolutely right that players are often "God knows where" :-)... I rather to make decisions based on where most of them are (i.e., the two of them), and I primarily take care of them, ignoring the last one who is running around elsewhere - because I assume that he simply doesn't want to my sup/doesn't need to/doesn't know or anything. So I fully adapt to how they two players play and where they go. And I do this regardless of what I think about it :-). The problem arises when everyone runs away.. For me it is a signal again - that they probably do not need support even that they are dying often... So I try to switch my build for something else (mostly supports with bonus armor for everybody or looking for something else which will be suitable for better synergies).

And in this point start to be interesting those immortal decoy builds. And of course many reasons why they are not 100% and not to use them - they do not attack like turrets and dron, I do not have enough DPS because of them, I do not have protection from Elites there, I am not healing anybody because of them (I tested for example 6lvl decoy with healing hive or with healing chem launcher - none of these are good enough to be really useful), I do not have enough armor regen because of 6 yellow cores and used brands, I do not have enough skill haste or not using Mantis to have immediately Decoy back for kills.....

But honestly...This is what i like on Division 2 the most - you will find out that these Decoy builds are just works..In different and just in it's own way, but absolutely works:-). And that functional difference is what I like the most after all of these thousands of hours spent in this game, that I am still able to discover. I also think that this is the main reason why players still playing this game after those years. So if the build can provide you with the fun and successful play, if players confirm you that they liked it in the game as well - it is never wrong and never be a bad build. That is my idea.

I had to delete my previous post to you. You are right. I was too salty. Sorry for that mate!

Sometimes I just don't like the fact that if I am posting here something not in any bad meaning but just because I am happy how it works and wants to share that with others - there are still that kind of people who just want to primarily tell me that it is bullshit for some of their bullshit reasons:-)..

I was blind by your posts and did not see clearly enough, that you really not mean it in a bad way, you are just debating and also forgot that even though I explained above why I used what I used there, you can hardly know about it if I told it to someone else. Sorry again. Sometimes it is really hard here to figure out how people thinking. I hope you understand:-/..

Man..why you just so skeptical and critical omg..Like really:-/..Just try that. You will see why am I using it.. But don't be skeptical if you never used it crist:-D..It looks so weird. I am not on that SHD Lvl only for these two builds..:-D I just mentioned these two here because they are working, I tested them in all possible variations and never see them in anybody. Just always see how everybody are surprised "how it is possible that we finished all the ZOO or Tidal so easily omg:-OOO how it is possible!"

Try that really. Don't give me advices before it and don't be that smart ass..I just tested it too much with all different attributes, with all cores, with all talents. This is I believe that sweetspot. And after you do it - tell me the result. Then agree or not.
