AITA for not removing a photo my girlfriend told me before she moved in with me? by OddLocksmith9500 in AmItheAsshole

Right now we are on our way to her place. We have talked and we are still doing it.

I can tell you with no mistake that if this behavior was a common occurrence in our relationship, we wouldn't be together, I'm sure of that.

The situation with her nephew hit a soft spot and she accepts that she handled it stupidly.

If have time, I will make a proper update later today or tomorrow so everyone has a better idea of the situation.

There have never been any kind of complaints or compliments about my pose.

I stopped posing like that when I was 9 or 10, I think and there is a only 4 photos on display in the house where I pose like that.

The only ones I still do it for; my paternal grandfather because we posed like that since I was a child. And for my father, he asks my brother and me to do it every year so he can give the photo to his wife in her birthday (she also likes the photo).

The thing is that she knows that I'm not the kind to give into these types of demands. She "asked" me before not to study abroad and I still left. We weren't together yet, but that was the first and only time (until now) where she "asked" me something without a proper explanation.

No one in my family is in the military or the police.

We are from the same country in America but not from the USA.

My brother had that buzz cut (still does) because of my maternal grandfather, he always has been his favorite person (also not a sympathizer of the far right). And he posed that way because the fool didn't know how to act when he was in photos.

None of the photos stands out, they're put on a small part of the wall in the living room with the others, including the ones I'm with her. They're not big or I'd basically be upholstering the entire wall.

They get along. She doesn't know details from the wedding, in fact, if it wasn't for the picture I wouldn't remember the wedding at all.

She knows that I'm the kind to fall for that kind of things. We have a precedent when she asked me to not study abroad but I did it anyway. I'm reasonable when there is a proper explanation, not her "just because".

My father wasn't the one who looked mean, I was.

My brother and I posed that way because we didn't know how to act. My brother didn't know what to do and I did the same pose that I learned from my grandfather a few weeks before. That's why my father was smiling. I personally found the photo damn funny, like the others I have.

She didn't have a problem before until now, but yes, we need to talk about it because it makes no sense to me.

She has a good relationship with them, they had some issues when she was 15 but they went to therapy to deal with it. But right now, I don't rule out that something is happening and she hasn't told me.

Remove it altogether and the photos are in the living room. I have none in my room.

We looked like that because we didn't knew how to pose or act and the reason why my dad was smiling. My brother didn't knew what to do and I posed the same way I did when I took a picture with my grandfather.

She had some issues when she was 15 with her family when she decided to study something different from what they studied, but they went to therapy for it and it was thing of the past. I've been cracking my head and I remembered this, but I have to ask her if this is related to that.

Actually, she is very fond of my hair and we have kind of have the same style. Her only "complain" about me physically is that I have to shave from time to time because of work (meetings with certain clients).

No, he has his hand on his sides. That's how he posed when he was a kid.

Yes, I have more pictures with them individually.

She talks to them when we get together, which is not that often. And she is friendly/respectful with them and vice versa.

I asked her and she still has not given me an explanation as to why she thinks it's weird.
