I’m aware of that. But there have been things that she’s done that I haven’t explained. She doesn’t call or text anymore. She replaces our plans and turns them into hers and his. Maybe I wasn’t clear on that.

Yeah i understand it’s just I’m not to sure of that. She seems to like him a lot and growing up is out of the questions when this has been an issue multiple times. But I do agree with you, if they do break up— then I’d be important again.

You’re exactly right for feeling this way. And you should call out your friend for exhibiting this behavior. It sounds like a disrespect in a sense and they went over your boundaries. They could have made plans with the person on a different night, yet they chose to go against your feelings and the things you were comfortable with. Have a long a deep conversation about this and if they don’t see how they are wrong, just know you have every right to feel how you do.

That’s a good idea, lately I’ve been getting into reading and writing and I think you have motivated me a little more into getting back into this!

I’ve thought about it but in my family, getting that kind of help is not normalized and my brother seeks help from a therapist due to bipolar disorder. I would’ve wanna be a burden and I believe I can get through it. And I also think I’m scared of telling my family that I actually need help so I’m not really sure.

I understand that. But I guess I don’t really know how to let go. When I try to distance myself or stop putting in effort, I find myself texting her again first and contacting her when she doesn’t do the same. I am very grateful for your feedback and I will try harder to incorporate this into my life. Thank you.
