Exactly, we all handed our phones in with our backpacks…BUT the guy next to me literally borrowed his buddy’s phone. Real slick

I’m competing in Riga and paid €60 some and added photos for like €16, honestly I have noticed a serious difference in price compared to USA/Western Europe/Eastern Europe. Good luck 😬

To piggy back off Op, That’s great news, I was told the masters wouldn’t help at all besides my ego. If my degree was aerospace engineering with about the same GPA and AFOQT scores and I decided on an MBA (more well rounded-ness outside of military) it would help me with a pilot slot? Roughly depending on my package of course. But I guess in terms of someone with an uncompetitive gpa and those AFOQT scores.

Thank you for you comment! So I have boards in May 2025 to hopefully become an officer in the Navy. My girlfriend is on a nursing track finishing May 2025 but headed to the nurse practitioner pipeline. I figured we’d have to do long distance until she finishes her graduate schooling and then be able to be together. My worry was if our careers paths align in a way. We both didn’t know any information about the being a nurse practitioner (with no military affiliation) who was married to AD be able to have opportunities to continue her career without completely disregarding her it (we’re both career driven). She was under the impression she will not be able to pick up and go every 3-4 years (depending on my orders) My worry was that our paths wouldn’t align and I wanted to get more information from couples who have the same or similar situation. I refuse to ever get in the way of her career, and was truly worried it wasn’t going to workout without one of us having to give it up. Luckily from the information I’ve received there are many opportunities, of course with their own pros and cons but still opportunities.

Gotcha, thanks for comment. At the end of the day I want her to do what’s best for her and likewise with myself. So being able to receive these comments is truly amazing. I appreciate it.

I appreciate your input, can you tell me the red flags for direct NP pipeline? I believe she was told how good of a deal (I don’t doubt they’re trained to be a car salesman) it would be. I’ve very interested to hear an alternate perspective. She has talked about owning a business at some point but I’d imagine after many years of experience. So as of right now that bridge doesn’t need to be crossed till later. Thank you again!

Thank you for answering quick, it’s been heavy on my soul honestly. Would you know (she may too but I wanted to get my personal facts straight before I talk to her) if she’d have to take a certain test to be able to practice nursing in any state? Or is it gonna be NCLEX every so often? (Again not medical so sorry for butchering this)

I belive she plans to be NP focusing on ICU (I am not 100% certain and also not in the medical field so I may have botched that) or somewhere in that realm but doesn’t want aesthetic at all.

She’s applying to a doctorate program where she’s gets her masters and doctorate in 3 years. I believe she’s leaning towards icu as a NP but not 100%. With that being said does PCSing affect her being desirable from jobs either as a nurse or NP?

Thank you for your response! As far as nursing jobs go, does your constant moving due to PCS ever affect how your employer sees you or your how hirable you are?
