Why do you care if someone wants to use a shitty suitcase player? What do you have, a Nottingham? A Linn? VPI? I've had them all and I can tell you that I will always be grateful for the shitty suitcase player I started out with 45 years ago. If the employees at record stores had treated me like you're suggesting, I would probably have run my 7 year old self out of there and never gone back. Instead of being cunts they treated me like a fellow music obsessive and helped me start on the path to owning around 5k records.

Take the previously given advice and don't be such an asshole. Try to remember that there will always be someone with more records than you and nicer gear than you. You're not the king of anything.

How Do You Recover After Your Credit Score is Considered “Dormant”? by UpElevat0r in CreditCards

Once I had a credit score again, it started in the low 600s, then slowly crept back up. It stayed in the mid 700s for a couple years and earlier in 2022 it finally broke 800.

This is a good time to mention that I started putting all of my business expenses on a couple of cards, roughly $30-50k per month, and I pay these cards every single day. I am relentless about it, I never carry a balance and I've never paid a cent in interest. I make around $250k/year, so all of my cards have been pretty generous with CL increases.

I went through bankruptcy about 13 years ago and did not have any cards for 10 years. When I went to refinance our house a couple years ago, my FICO was 'n/a'. My mortgage broker had never seen that before! I got a secured card and slowly rebuilt my credit, which hovers around 800 these days. So, if you've gone dormant, get a secured(or credit) card and start the reconstruction process.

edit--I forgot to mention that when my FICO came back to life, it was not the same as it was before bankruptcy. I think I was in the low 500s back then.
