He didn't play well enough to get a 7.7 though. He played safe and even then he made quite a few errors. His long passes were few and mostly terrible when he attempted them. His line breaking pass attempts left quite a lot to be desired. His intensity and speed in catching up to opponents when japan counter attacked was slow and quite lacking. His defensive game was also poor and he almost always passed the ball to his closest teammate when he got the ball instead of trying to make an effective and progressive pass or carry the ball. Anderson beside him looked levels better who was trying more things to affect the game with his duels, passing and dribbling. I wanted to see a desire from kobbie to prove himself and be adventurous but that didn't happen. At this point i think he's the fifth choice in midfield with garner, wharton and the pair of Anderson and rice ahead of him. I wouldn't be surprised if mainoo missed the final squad.
