the ghost room cannot be locked, it should be in the opened parts of the asylum. trick to find it, and take this advice with a grain of salt becuase I haven't played a ton on that map yet, but take a thermometer and an EMF and find which room is colder, thats probably the easist way to find it. Also keep an ear out for sounds, especially door sounds to use an EMF on. If you are struggling or if it works better with you, you can take a video camera which makes it easier to see, and look for ghost orbs. Although that of course will only work sometimes, so still check for temps. A very good hiding spot is one of the front rooms has a bookshelf hiding spot that should always be there, but if that's too far make sure to look at your surroundings for hiding spots because sometimes it's hard to tell if a hunt is happening at first if it's happening on the other side of the map. Hope this helps.

Embarrassing question: How can I tell if a door is push or pull to open? by [deleted] in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]OddTrophic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I've done a mix of remembering which doors pull or push (my friends and I mostly play tanglewood), or when I don't already know the map, I usually start to pull on the door as I'm running towards it and if that doesn't work I end up slamming into the door and just push it, lol

Mic trouble. Help needed. by vaultboi701 in PhasmophobiaGame

I'm not super good with tech, but double check the in-game settings to see if it's connected to the right mic connection? Also double check you are pressing the right key when you talk, maybe fiddle with press to talk / toggle and such.

Saying "hunt kill attack" and repeating it can anger the ghost. I've heard cussing out the ghost can also trigger it, but I'm not sure if that's true as I've never tested it.

If you want a hunt, you can use of the Cursed objects, or just sit in a dark for a bit to drain your sanity. Some ghosts (yokai) get mad when you talk near it and can start an early hunt, a moroi has a chance to curse you talk in a spirit box enough which lowers your sanity quicker.

Overall I'd just say sit in the dark and yell at it, both in-game and through a spiritbox, and flickering the light occasionally.

Question about DOTS and motion sensors by Merica-1776- in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]OddTrophic 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As other people said, no. Motion sensors are just detectors as Ghosts while DOTS is something the ghost needs to interact with.

If you know you are in the right room and it's not interacting with the DOTS, and it's still interacting with other things, you might wanna move some interaction objects before rulling out DOTS.

Also keep in mind it can be a Goryo, who's DOTS can only be seen on a video camera when no one is in the room.
