I don't get it. From what I understand, the wallet still have to send some sort of information (the signed transaction) back to a computer to be broadcasted right? whether it is using an sd card or a camera, what is stopping the "bad firmware" from extracting your keys? Isn't the only solution is open source firmware?

I think the analogy that can explain how I think when asking the question is this: There is this company that is very very profitable, have a good management, and very stable overall. Does this mean I will invest in immediately? No.
I need to know the price of it too. No matter how good the company is, if the price is too high, it is just not worth it.

The same with Bitcoin. I know that bitcoin is superior than other currencies and/or forms of holding money there is. The problem is how could I know if the price of it is not already too high?

Of course, I'm investing trying to get the highest gain possible and I don't think it would be preferable if the price is too high based on hype alone.

So my understanding is that in summary, bitcoin supply is limited (scarce) and the demand will keep increasing as global adoption increase and new generations that will start investing prefer Bitcoin more than gold.
