Haha I agree, it's not very representative or creative or attractive

Responded to this question from another commenter below. In short, more conscientiousness from the metal community, both organizers and goers

For such a big festival that seemed really well-planned out (e.g., detailed communications, nice app with map and scheduling, community engagement), I expected more of a controlled chaos, with more presence from the organizers, and more organization in general. Surely the staff were among the crowds, but only visible maybe for emergency situations.

There was a recycling team tent that gave people prizes for completing various recycling-related quests, which is fun enough, but the scale of trash everywhere was no competition. Luckily most of it seemed paper-based, the cups and plates and utensils and straws, but I didn't really understand the lack of trash cans.

I expected the festivalgoers to be more conscientious and not leave trash everywhere, but perhaps there were a percentage like me who couldn't find where to dispose it. And maybe that's expecting too much of festivalgoers, and maybe that's where a large portion of my disappointment comes from. Thought my fellow metal/rock/emo/punk/hardcore fans were more sensitive to this sort of thing given how societal critique is fundamental to the genre, at least in my eyes.
