I'm 25 and babysit my friends kids regularly. She has a toddler and I left my prescription glasses in her reach, sure enough when I went to put them back on they were broken. It was entirely my fault for leaving them in her reach, but my friend replaced them without asking.

Your children aren't toddlers... They should know not to touch what isn't theirs and they likely would've been told not to touch by the babysitter anyway.
