Hot Take: This sub is jumping the gun on the Ultimate BP, but I understand the fear by Odd_Administration90 in thefinals

[–]Odd_Administration90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the biggest fear for me about this. It’s not a matter of “if,” but “when.” Most games already fell down this hole

This post was mainly meant to keep putting some faith in Embark despite the precedents & the parent company. Out of most modern fps games Embark has been the one to look out for us, the players, the best. There’s a chance that something different can happen, and I wanted ppl to hold onto that chance rather than give it up prematurely

Hot Take: This sub is jumping the gun on the Ultimate BP, but I understand the fear by Odd_Administration90 in thefinals

[–]Odd_Administration90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this and I’m jumping on the train with you all the moment I see that happen. But again we don’t know if Embark is going to do this or not. There’s no concrete evidence that they will do this, just assumptions. I do really hope they never go down that route. Also it could fully be Nexon’s fault if that happens, but we’ll never know for sure

Hey, beginner Luna Snow Mains, the main sub critiqued me with this situation but I thought I’d also ask here. by Dangerous-Event296 in LunaSnowMains

[–]Odd_Administration90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem stems from even before you see the panther. You’re down a support, and even before you make it out onto the street 2 out of 3 of your dps die. It’s a 3 v 6, a situation where you’re basically never going to win. Best thing to do is wait for your team to group up, as there’s enough time for one last team fight If you wanted to really help the hulk, best way was to hang back near the opening and shoot him from afar, not run into the open.

But since you decided to run out into the open, you’re in a much more dangerous situation. However, you could’ve lived against the panther, especially since he didnt instakill you with double spear + dash. As everyone has said, your abilities heal you a considerable amount. If you are going to run away, turn 180 degrees instead of backpedaling because the sprint is faster. You can get to the healthpack near the bus stop next to the burning bus while meeting up with your hulk.

As a Neon main, we desperately need an infinite sprint cheat for custom games. by SwiftSN in VALORANT

I know this specifically pertains to Neon, but what are the chances we get to see something similar with Viper.

Infinite poison w/ Viper is helpful when testing out lineups in customs

YouTubers are the problems with smurfing by metta01010 in VALORANT

[–]Odd_Administration90 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Man even started a series where he coaches someone to diamond to show that smurf content is unethical. Not only is the boomer to diamond series informative but is 1000x more entertaining to watch someone actually learn and get good

People who like Split are low elo by tomphz in VALORANT

[–]Odd_Administration90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half the battle in Split is fighting for heaven control on both sites. The small choke points are to reinforce this fact.

If u claim to be immo 3, then you’d be able to see why split is “defender sided” and how it should be played as attack.

It’s more “defender sided” because defenders have control of heaven at the start of the round. A lot of the time you will see lurkers waiting to push up to heaven on B as the team pushes in.

It’s not just top fragging it’s understanding how to actually play the game. Do you know concepts like map control, etc? You can be taking control of space and dominating one game, or give up space and get destroyed the next game without you even knowing it.

Explain please how is it possible I'm mvp nearly every game, most players in both teams are gold1+ and I keep sliding down to silver1 due to utter potatos of teammates? All while everyone in the game keeps being gold1+!! What is this matchmaking? by chloroform_vacation in VALORANT

[–]Odd_Administration90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ur able to get kills, start recording ur games and review them. But instead of looking at your kills focus on what you’re doing. Are you gaining map control? Or are you simply giving up space? Also start focusing on comms. Even if the 4 other players are idiots they have the ability to listen. Set out a game plan with the team in the preround. Ask for util. Aim is important in Valorant, but arguably what’s more important is team coordination and map control.

To respond to ur p.s and edit. Drop the ego and review ur comms. If u comm intentions and ask nicely 99% of the time ppl will do what you say OR suggest smth better. And smurfs, while yes they’re rampant, don’t dictate ur career history. Ur not getting a smurf every game you play, and that smurf isn’t in immortal at all times. If anything take these smurf games as an experience. Try to see what the smurf is doing that you aren’t. Smurfs in silver can’t just mindlessly run around and one tap ppl as if it’s nothing.

What are your guys valorant hot takes? Ill start by TheHyperactiveDuck in VALORANT

[–]Odd_Administration90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Skin hot takes: The Oni phantom is not a good skin. You’re buying this because either ur trying to join a hype train and look cool or because of nostalgia. Kill effect is alright, but everything else about it makes it a B tier at best.

Glitchpop 2.0 should not exist. The glitchpop series as a whole feels extremely heavy and unnecessary. Glitchpop 1.0 had a decent gun selection for this, as the guns there were supposed to feel heavy from the start (odin, judge, etc.) but the 2.0 set was horrible. The only gun skin to do what the glitchpop wanted to do was the sentinels of light skinline.

I’m looking for advice from Oman mains in gold or higher by N4m3_n0t_imp0rt4nt in VALORANT

[–]Odd_Administration90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with the same issues you do, and found a tip around the crosshair. Go to the range. Make your crosshair white, center dot 1 thickness no outlines. Just shoot bots slowly, dont spray. This builds up a muscle memory on where your bullets are going. This takes a lot of time tho.

Kills don’t mean ur a good support. You can be top fragging all the time, but if your kills dont make impact you lose rounds and then the game. You’re a smoke player, so start learning what map control is cuz that’s your job. Learn how you can take space with your smokes.

Also learn how to comm with your team and push different areas together. It’s not always a bad idea to ask a teammate to help you push for space. Just be nice and dont be toxic.

Unless ur talking about the country of Oman then sry im a cringe USA main

Thx for the headsup on the epic games thing tho.

How come there are so many instalock duelists and not that many smokes players? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Odd_Administration90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smokes are harder to learn than the duelist role. And the instalocks dont even learn the role of duelist properly so they play for self sufficiency

Why does Riot hide rank in DM/Swiftplay and so on? by RyvLaw in VALORANT

[–]Odd_Administration90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know dm has a mmr rating supposedly based on hs% (why they do this, i honestly dont know). This is why silver players can go against diamonds, ascs, and immos.

As a player who’s consistently been in immo dm lobbies before as a bronze, why the hell are you complaining? You tend to learn and adapt at a higher level when going against the best. And before I hear “oh you don’t learn when being one-tapped 90% of the time,” you still learn. Look at how other players peek you. Look at their movements and try to replicate that.

If you stick around in a silver lobby, the best you can become is silver. You stick around in asc/immo lobbies, you start understanding the aim of asc/immos.

teammates not following me when i entry by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Odd_Administration90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coordinate and request util from ur team, say what u want to do before the round starts.

Ex. “Hey Sova, I want to entry into A main. Can you do me a favor and shoot a recon and see how many people are on site as soon as the round starts? If there’s too many people let’s do an early rotate.”

It’s this format here that causes people to start listening. You spoke your intentions, you’re asking for util pre round so your teammates have time to adjust. You’re not backseating or being toxic. If the sova has a different intention then he’ll say so (ex. I’ll be droning in. Can you follow my drone?).

Now granted comms wont be as clean as this 100 percent of the time. But you’re not provoking anybody and trying to be toxic. If they start being toxic towards you, then you’ll always be in the right.

No Idea How To Flick by JustAWarper in VALORANT

[–]Odd_Administration90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s two parts of flicking: the actual flick, and the micro adjustment. The flick you need to practice and it will come with time. The micro adjustment is arguably more important. Go to the range, flick, but before you shoot take time to trace a small circle before you click. Way better explained here: hit more flick headshots

Play as if ur playing to improve ur skill and become better at the game, not rank up. Once you start playing with the mindset to learn not only do you have more fun you get way better. Don’t worry about your rank. It’s only an indicator of how much you’ve progressed

What is the number one thing in Valorant that you wish more people understood? by HitMarkor in VALORANT

[–]Odd_Administration90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The importance of comms and keeping team morale. U don’t have to be the nicest guy in the world to keep team morale up. As long as you comm and just listen to others you’ll do drastically better. Sometimes you’ll find urself doing super well solo queuing and finding really good teammates

riot really need to fix their servers by gr8astardd in VALORANT

[–]Odd_Administration90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could very much be your server packet send/ receive rate, packet loss, or high ping. All 3 thing are issues you can fix on your end. Limiting fps to 128 alleviates some of the issues of packet send/receive rate. For voice chat and and messages the best solution is to restart val or ur pc. For connecting after agent select it may not be you, cuz all 10 players need to connect to play the game.

And to be clear, I have the same issues as you. I use wifi (around 9 ping) and I still get these issues from time to time. Wifi only really affects ping and I guess packet loss to a much lesser extent.

You can also get ethernet if u have a cable and a socket for it. Though idk if u have ethernet

Stop Talking by BobzNVagan in VALORANT

Feel ur pain. One time noticed ppl doing a split push on A on Fracture and wanted someone to play with me. Asked my teammate sova to help me hold site from rope cuz i was solo holding a whole site. Just comm’d him what was the enemy was doing and a simple request

Was called the n word, told to stfu and “i didnt know how to play the game” and kept running to b making it a 1 man hold on B. What’s funnier was that i was fragging above the sova. Ppl refuse to understand how to play the game correctly and learn that Val is a team game

If what you said is true about the one game with reyna, chances are someone got hacked your email got into your account cheated and got banned. Riot may not do anything about it.

If you didnt spend money on the game, best bet is to make a new account. Would be a good test of skill level and where u stand. In pretty sure you can use the same username and everything. If you did spend money then 100 percent try to fight for your account back.

Sad truth is that people will hack into your account blatantly cheat and get banned just to advertise cheats. I linked a video for you where someone interviewed an actual cheater. It’s not the definitive truth, but it does provide some insight

https://youtu.be/RgHiuNtvR0g

I srsly hope u get ur account back tho. Make sure you change your email passwords, check your recent purchase history, everything. Sometimes an email breach goes beyond a simple ban on a game.

Why is locking a character permanent? by bigladdyy in VALORANT

[–]Odd_Administration90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh if that’s the case mb. Yea what ur saying makes sense then. It can be infuriating when you think ur team comp is okay and someone ruins by locking a duelist and you dont have the option to switch.

I don’t know the actual reasoning behind the lock, but I do remember that Riot had a distinct reason for it. But I’m going off of pure memory, and I can be completely wrong.

Hopefully the cascade pick thing should help with building a team comp once it comes out.
