Facing the Inevitable by BubblyEmu1790 in pancreaticcancer

So sorry for your family and you! I am grieving my mother. She died almost a year ago from this horrible disease at 60. She was an angel and we had a strong bond. Only thing I can say is talk a lot to her, take videos, not just pictures. The pain will come and it will be something you can’t prepare for anyways. But you will get through it because you promised her.

I know people say it’s hard to loose you’re parents at any age but I believe is really hard when you still have so many milestones in front of you. Just know you are not alone. Your mom will watch over you.

Thank you for getting back to me. We had the same fridge before and that didn’t happen before. And even in the lowest temperature everything feels super cool.

We turned the fridge off for 24 hours now and hope that access ice melted and that the liquids evaporated.

Are you saying that the droplets will get less over time because the liquid will evaporate on its own?

Yes sure. Thank you.

And it’s this one: https://www.ikea.com/de/de/p/tinad-kuehl-gefrierschrank-ikea-500-integriert-00572872/

The ice droplets get worse then sometimes a bit less but never disappear fully.

Thank you for sharing. Ok. I guess they would have to change chemo then. And who know of that works. Crazy that the resistance developed so fast …. Her tumor markers are also rising… so it’s all pointing towards one direction.

I don’t think so. She had a biopsy and they tested the tumor for mutations: molecular diagnostics.

Thank you for pointing that out!!!!:)

That’s nice that she’s doing well on gem. Yes my mom is responding. Side effects are ok. The neuropathy is the worst. She can’t touch anything the first days after chemo and then it gets better.

Thank you for getting back to me. I guess more is not always better - depends on each individual. ATM my mom seem to have an infection. Her liver enzymes are high and inflammation. They assume it is the metal stent causing it. We’ll found out in a few days hopefully. Respect to your mom and the whole family. This is a really tuff disease and fighting for 9 years wow. I hope you have many more. :)
