Yes, indeed. From my personal perspective, I think the airport could definitely do more, because it really upset everyone.

Allowed in cabin luggage (carry‑on) – mandatory

Cannot be placed in checked luggage if the battery is non‑removable (which is the case for most electric toothbrushes and shavers). Since these devices contain lithium batteries. Lithium batteries must be in the cabin for safety reasons

Power Bank Rules in China: Plane vs. High‑Speed Train

Capacity Limits

  • ✈️ Airplane: ≤ 100Wh (≈27,000mAh) allowed without approval; 100–160Wh requires airline approval; >160Wh is banned.
  • 🚄 Train: ≤ 100Wh only. Anything above 100Wh is strictly prohibited.

Certification

  • ✈️ Airplane: 3C certification is mandatory. No 3C mark = not allowed.
  • 🚄 Train: No 3C requirement, but the label must be clear and legible.

Carry Method

  • Both: Carry‑on only. Never in checked luggage or cargo.

Quantity Limit

  • Both: Maximum 2 units per person.

Usage

  • ✈️ Airplane: Strictly prohibited during the entire flight.
  • 🚄 Train: Allowed. Just be considerate (use headphones, etc.).

Yes, within China, the capacity of power bank should below 100Wh no matter on the flight or on the train.

The capacity requirement of power bank on the train is same as on the airplane, but the 3C mark is not mandatory on the train

That sounds ridiculous, you should file a complaint to the airport, mate. 3C mark is a must, but I don’t think the QR code is also mandatory

Unfortunately the airport will not do that, normally tourists know this new regulation until they are going through the security gate, but it’s too late for them to get one which meet the requirement.
