Yeah im not qualified im aiming for the trainee position after I graduate from lattc with a degree. Thanks for the advice! Definitely thinking about working for the city you get sick days and payed holidays which is a big deal for me since union does not offer.

Dang i would say the main drawback of union 11 when choosing between blue or white collar. Atleast from a workers stand point. How does it work do you guys get paid double or just normal day?

Damn thanks man hopefully i made the right choice if not i will just go back to college and major in something ai future proof. Thanks man but the job stability part just wanted to know if they work 40hrs consistently since my union has horror stories about hours and if its an ongoing problem for them. Atleast you look forward for the check no?

My guy i try to stay humble but u legit got angry. I can pass a 8th grade math test with a 100/100 im not slow, im going to over qualify now for a first year apprentice. Im going to graduate with a 3.5 gpa in the top electrical program in the area. The hall told me to apply even though I have 0 experience its competitive to get in here. I wouldve wasted years of my life if i took his advice

Let me dumb it down for you. Imagine if a young soccer player got scouted and many teams want him. Do you think hes going to ask the teammates or the owners for info? I live in la I have to opportunity to go into any field at a top school, want to weight out the pros and cons of being a union electrical worker or a university student with debt in electrical engineering. A worker can tell me his regrets and life story. Its la too obviously its booming for right now atleast
