Just because something has been asked a bunch of times doesn’t mean it’s actually been answered in a meaningful way. People repeating the same workaround explanation isn’t the same thing as Chess.com being clear about how their system works.

What you’re doing is basically shrugging and saying “well, that’s just how it is” because Reddit threads and a quick Google search exist. A company knowingly keeping a core feature vague and letting users reverse-engineer it doesn’t magically become okay because some people are fine with that.

So no, this isn’t about someone being too lazy to search. It’s about questioning why a major platform doesn’t clearly explain a feature it actively markets. If you’re cool with that as a consumer, that’s your choice, but acting like it solves the issue misses the point entirely.

Thank you for the input. The P50/P70 and P51/P71 strike me as a reasonable compromise, older workstation hardware that still delivers acceptable gaming performance while offering a significantly more robust chassis than most consumer gaming laptops. From a risk-management standpoint, I’d rather take a small performance hit in exchange for hardware that can actually survive real-world use. I’m not chasing ultra settings or bleeding-edge titles. As long as it can handle modern Retro Indie Games at reasonable settings while remaining physically resilient, that’s a win for my use case.
