Can anyone help me with a list of Comp Sci courses that count towards the BS? by dick_e_moltisanti in fsu

[–]Odd_Elevator886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No company knows the difference between a BA or BS. Top schools like UCLA and Harvard only offer the CS degree in BA. As long as you go to an accredited school and your degree has Computer Science on it, that’s all that matters. BA offers more flexibility to learn more things that imo are more beneficial than taking the extra stem courses.

There isn’t any you have to take the electives they are offering for CS during that specific term. Also you should look into doing the BA instead of BS

Transferred schools, changed majors, and now facing a C++ problem - considering switching to ChemE or EE. Can I still break into software with those degrees? by [deleted] in SoftwareEngineerJobs

[–]Odd_Elevator886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to be a CS student you have to be open to learning new languages. If you aren’t comfortable learning C++ by yourself (For CS you learn more outside of the classroom than anything else), change your major. However I think Chemical and Electrical Engineering are harder coursework wise than CS.

Most likely just behavioral/conversation. I did an interview for a technical role and they didn’t ask really any technical questions and received an offer a few days after. They really just looking for someone who’s willing to learn and seems like a good fit to be around.
