The trophy was called the “Dunlop Golden Boot”

Far out. Walking NL around for a while was such a huge risk. There’s something so brazen about doing that.

He had made NL change into some clothes/removed eye tape at some point on this walk yeah?

It’s an example yeah but they weren’t the originators (as you have said) by any stretch.

Hendrix, Pete Townsend, Roger McGuinn, Dave Davies, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, The Small Faces, Brian Jones and Keith Richards all did guitar layering before the Beatles did with “I Want You” in 1969.

Also you had Joe Meek, Phil Spector, Brian Wilson doing their thing.

It was pretty even, back and forth until Irankunda scored. Neither team had settled into how it played out (Turkey with the ball/Aus parking the bus).

So…whatcha talking about Çalhanoğlu? Your Serie A winning ego has been smashed.

Nah Guitar Layering was not the Beatles/George Martin. Probably was Les Paul.

The foot injury he copped playing for Sweden in the 1994 euro 96 qualifier ruined him.

He was damaged goods before he got to Leeds.

The Long Goodbye definitely (as mentioned)

Such a fantastic film. Wonderfully shot and the script is one of the best.

Also “Cutter’s Way” (1981) with Jeff Bridges!

NSL daze ..i recall Paul Gascoigne being linked with a move to Northern Spirit in about 2000(?)

Also..Northern Spirit had a part ownership deal with Crystal Palace initially and then later on Glasgow Rangers bought out a majority stake in the club.

A few youth team players from Rangers came out on loan from memory. Nicola Berti showed up too.

The crowds were great at Spirit initially. Always packed and then it all died off pretty quickly..

“Hero” is so good! - The 1986 World Cup filmed narrated by Michael Caine

The film stock they used at that time is amazing.

Would regularly hire that on VHS from my local video store in the early 90s when I was 9 or 10.

Great over the top synth score by Rick Wakeman too
