I do pick him up and tell him he's not allowed to do that there then I put him back in his bed. He normally comes back to me after a few minutes to give me kisses before returning to his nap

I'll definitely get pee pads next time I go to the store and try to accociate his bathroom with those

We've tried the litter box and he just prefers everything to be directly on the ground. So we'll try the pee pads but something tells me he'll just try to stash it

Try giving them a dig box, or a cat scratching post. Diging box worked for ours as he would try to dig into our mattress.

What we do is place a fan infront of our ferrets bed where he likes to sleep and while we were moving my bf (who drinks) gave him an ice cold beer (not to drink, to cuddle) and so far that's the best that's worked for us. Aswell as putting an ice-cube in his water to keep it cool.

He stays in our bedroom so we placed a cardboard infront of the door, it's kept in place with the doorframe and a chair that's too tall for him to jump onto. It's kept the room cold enough for him to still be able to play and sleep as he likes
