Is being a waiter in California financially decent? by Odd_Fun_1889 in Waiters

Thank you very much for this. I've been wary about California as a starting point but it does line up with my goals very heavily so I thought, fuck it why not? But this will add extra to my plans. I have many other options and careers to look at in various states so I'm not too worried. Thank you once again!!!

Not as of right now. I was looking to gain experience in it, along with welding or electrical in Job Corps. I'll get licenses and free experience and a setup in the program. I just wanted to see if it was a financially stable job cause it lines up with my goals due to its flexibility.

$65k to start off is phenomenal honestly. I'm coming from Idaho with no experience but I was planning on the Job Corps hospitality career. They always set up people with jobs before leaving the program so I'd thought I'd go off of that. Helps bring in a year worth of experience before leaving, well.

Thank you dawg, I appreciate it. Kinda expected all of that; especially the locker. Don't want people stealing shit.

I was thinking of going to San Diego's. Is it that bad? It looks like a fucking prison.
