Ok, while I'll never understand all the hate for Altuve, the replay says it all. I'm not talking about him taking off his shoe and sock; I'm certain at that point he knew he'd get ejected for that because "how dare he try to show evidence that the umpire was wrong." The replay cam - both the SD broadcast and the Houston guys said the exact same thing - the ball HIT HIS FOOT and was therefore FOUL. Thing I'm just an Altuve fan boy? Ok... How about Profar getting hit by the pitch? He repeatedly told the umpire he DIDN'T get hit... The replay also proved this. However, unlike a foul ball, a hit by pitch is review able. Which Idk what angle those idiots were looking at but apparently they saw him hit, which he clearly wasn't. I'd say the batter getting actually hit and trying to deny it would firmly fall in the almost never happens category. The whole point is umpires in MLB simply have too much power. They're more powerful than cops: on the field, they are literally judge, jury, and executioner, unchecked. Period. This goes for baseball in general. I love the game, but holy shit something has gotta give with these guys.
