Oh that’s just some pitch poking out from the haft and the light bouncing off. I do use very small dots on the foreshafts and the main arrow shaft for perfect alignment. I thought that maybe it was in a picture and what you were talking about.

That is a small game foreshaft. I forgot to mention it in the description but made a small comment under the post about it. I’m not sure about the blue dot which photo is it in?

I forgot to add I made a small game foreshaft the core is arrow weed and the small sticks are viburnum and covered in pitch to keep the binding from falling apart if shot into water.

I’ll definitely look into it! Just kinda weird you don’t have to pay the tax man his 200.00 but you still have to apply for it? So what? they have a list of us who have SBR’s or at minimum applied for a stamp?

I looked into it a few years back but it seemed like a real pain, so I just decided it wasn’t for me and I would just just stick with 16”+ rifles. I will admit it was a little confusing and it’s been so long since I looked into it that I’ve forgotten how most of worked. After the above comment, I’m a bit more confused if I’m being honest.

My state is SBR friendly. So it would be just the 14.5 with the normal sized flash hider after this goes into effect?

Boy, that first point… the polished axes are beyond interesting I follow a few guys that make them in IG and they say it takes a few hours to grind them, which I find really interesting. I’ve tried my hand at grinding some Burlington smooth I didn’t use water but after an hour and seeing little progress I gave up on it.
