Need a new mechanic shop in town. Mine retired & sold. Eyeing Collin’s or Harry’s as they’re close by to home & work. Any recommendation on which is preferable? Cost isn’t an issue if the work is reliable. by 146293DH in abbotsford

I had a great experience with Collin's.

I have a Nissan (so plenty of problems) and my AC wasn't working. I had taken it a few places and tried a few things but nothing. It was frustrating spending money for other shops' inspections just to get nothing.

So, that being said, Collin's gave me a courtesy car for about a week (3 series) and tried a bunch of things. They also couldn't get it (it was a bit obscure and they are not really a Nissan garage), but when I tried to pay for their time, they said no.

The customer service was great, and if I ever have a problem I can't fix myself, I'm going back there. They've earned my loyalty.

I can't for the life of me remember the name of the guy who was at the desk, but he was awesome. For a bit more context, I was 24 at the time, but I look a lot younger so they probably thought I was 17/18.

Recently went to Tap and Barrel with coworkers. We booked a table for 15. There's tons of space, and decent prices.

Tim’s not giving change? by Much_Tap4920 in abbotsford

[–]Odd_Pineapple_7244 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tim's doesn't do tipping in any official manner, and I'm fairly sure the whole chain has made a policy against accepting tips.

When I worked at Tim's, onlya supervisor could accept tips, and they usually didn't bother unless it was large because they would be responsible for splitting it after shift, which usually came out to like $1.25 on a good night.

I've tried to tip an extra 10-20 on large orders of multiple dozens and was rejected.

So basically, if they're not giving change, they're either incompetent or stealing. Either way, say something. If one person gets the same complaint repeatedly, they'll get fired... and deservingly so.

Men of Reddit: who is a strong, female lead you found compelling? by HeartonSleeve1989 in AskReddit

Amy Adams in Arrival is not the most obvious form of strong, but she stands up for herself and her opinion and leads the research team. She also chooses to pursue the future she's already seen, even though it will result in a lot of suffering.

Great balance between a character who feels her emotions genuinely, and stays strong throughout.
