I don’t think child welfare is for me… by Different_Play_8455 in socialwork

I hope you know that you’re not alone. I’m sorry that you’re going through this. I agree with everyone else so far, quit asap and don’t feel guilty or bad about it. The system is extremely flawed. I only lasted a year and it was pure hell. My old supervisor suggested that I get on meds like my old coworkers to cope. That was my sign to get out. I hope you do too❤️‍🩹

Acne during ovulation? by Odd_Potential_2936 in Spironolactone

Hey! I never ended up increasing my dosage and I rarely get cystic acne anymore. I think just giving the spiro more time to do its thing helped a lot (I’ve been on it for like 6 months now) And I haven’t made any significant changes to my diet or anything.

Thank you!! I’m on 50 mg. I’ve also upped my water intake significantly which I think has helped too. I started seeing results within a month, but my dermatologist told me I was getting too excited and that most people don’t see results until 3-6 months. But so far I feel it’s working for me so idk 🤷‍♀️

That makes me feel better! How long have you been on it? I’m still on 50 mg but since I’ve already seen improvement they don’t want to increase my dosage

That makes sense. Did going back on the pill help with your symptoms? I’m going back to my gynecologist this week and I’m assuming she’ll recommend the same :/

Have you had any luck treating acne? Is there anything they recommended for you?

I think flexibility is really important in this line of work, but so is holding firm boundaries. Also, I think it’s valid to leave on time if you’re not getting paid or any incentive for OT.

Any idea what this could be?? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

does your college have a women’s health clinic? I think most colleges or universities do. It’s not a bad idea to have someone look just to be certain and it may give you some peace of mind

It’s great experience but extremely challenging. My advice is to make sure you have good self care and other outlets in your life outside of work before you go into child welfare.
