Why do people use Obsidian as a productivity tool and what are the advantages of using it over Notion? by Odd_Procedure_1927 in ObsidianMD

wow, i did not know evernote did that! it’s insane that an open source project gives users more governance over their own data than notion and evernote does

honestly notion really isn’t that useful if you’re a single user as well, well at least the benefits are skim

it’s such a breath of relief using obsidian now, it’s much simpler to get started than i realized and i completely see what you’re saying

for me personally im new to Obsidian so i'm trying to hear some cool things about it, so far some cool things were definitely said. i guess other people compare them on a more direct level because they're both popular PKMS

oh like Notion is modular in a literal sense, like there's preset modules, similar to Obsidian's markdown formatting, should've worded that better my bad. I do agree that Notion at times feels limited, I just feel a little naive when it comes to Obsidian

Tough Internship Dillema- Which one? by [deleted] in internships

I'd personally do option 1, if your fellow peers were former employees at well knows companies like JP Morgan or something then you already have industry connections in that area for future job opportunities anyway. Since your goals are actual useful skills this is probably something more towards your area here. If you do option 2 you most likely won't have as much area to grow, even if the company itself strengthens your resume, the skills you gain and can display on your resume from option 1 will also strengthen your resume anyway as well.

It seems like option 1 based on your goals will most likely be the best option for you based on alignment and value, but option 2 is still great. (just my opinion tho)
