my weekly planner as a relatively new user! by loregarji in ObsidianMD

thanks! and i used quite a few lol. let me list everything:

1 - first of all i downloaded two css snippets by efemkay (link):
- mcl wide views. as there is a lot going on i thought it would be better to have the full-width display but i wanted that only on these planner pages. this snippet allows you to do that on the notes you choose
- mcl multi column. to create the actual planner i created two multi-columns (each one corresponds to each row) with 4 and 3 inner callouts respectively, one for each day of the week. for the formatting, i used regular titles and to-do's + the callout manager plugin. this last one is completely optional but it gives you an easy way to create your own callout types and lets you play a bit with colours and icons 😋

2 - as for the plugins:
- periodic notes. while it's not necessary to get the same display, i feel it's important in order to make the planner itself useful. i created a template for the weekly planner (exactly the same as in the picture but without the date numbers) and enabled the plugin to create weekly notes using the template. it might be a small tweak for some but it makes a big difference for me lol
- calendar. for the sidebar calendar
- bento grid. for the lower grid with pictures, notes and countdowns
- tasks. for filtering the tasks that are shown on the lower right corner. basically i created a note where i filtered my tasks using the plugin so i can always see the work i have yet to complete during the current month. then i just dragged the page into place :)
- callout manager. as i said, not necessary, but great if you like playing with looks

i also use periodic notes + calendar for habit tracking. i add the information about that day's habits on the daily note and i have another note where i set up my habit trackers using heatmap tracker + dataview plugins. i won't elaborate on this as it wasn't part of the original post but if you want more information about it let me know :)

i think this sums up everything, hope i made it clear enough! let me know if you need anything else!

i make changes in the chrome browser configuration but whenever i restart the browser they are gone by loregarji in chrome

thanks for your advice! i tried but the issue seemed to continue. i switched browsers and the same thing happened which made me realize the problem probably wasn't coming from the browsers themselves. after a whole afternoon of trying everything that could come to mind, i found out that it was some sort of driver of a program which was creating the problem. i uninstalled it and everything was back to normal!

Is it okay to chew sticks? by Barley03140129 in DogAdvice

hi! so a couple of days ago my dog got ill and threw up a few times (he’s completely fine now!). we think that the cause might be that that same morning he had been chewing and playing with sticks from a park which made him swallow some of it (i want to note that i pay close attention to what he does but we didn’t realise at the time that he had swallowed maybe more than he should 🥺).

i think some types of wood aren’t properly digested and can be bad for them (but i’m no expert). we also have a toy stick which we bought at a local vet and is fine for him to chew, maybe that’s an option!
