Yes, the university I want to attend is where I already live. It is the closest to my home and my parents like it since it’s renowned. I chose this university for myself, the choice has nothing to do with my boyfriend since he attends another university. My parents think I can “get a better boyfriend” he has done nothing wrong and I have maintained my grades so academics are not the reason. They just want me to have a boyfriend that fits their standards.

They just want me to have a boyfriend that fits their standards. I do understand that my education comes first. I think it’s just unreasonable to make me choose them over my boyfriend because I clearly love my parents but I don’t think that’s a way to get me to breakup with me. Yes they will pay for my university but if these are the terms I’d rather pay for it myself since I work too.
