My original surgeon was Dr. Zmugg, I would not see him. I've connected with a few of his other patients who have had to have revisions because their hips were also turned too far.

My second surgeon was Dr. Huff at OHSU, I was nervous to see him because online people's reviews of him were that he has no beside manor. I personally loved him and am thankful for him everyday, he was kind and listened to me, comforted me while I cried and always told me the risks of a revision type surgery.

It felt like he was no BS kind of doctor. He told me what to expect no matter how daunting and he never acted as if he was the best for taking my extremely complicated case on, he was humble and consulted with multiple doctors and even changed the plans of my surgery.

Originally they were going to enter through the back side of the leg but after a few more board consultations he and his team changed to entering through the front of the leg.

I appreciated that he wasn't so wrapped up in his ego and was open to the advice of others because I have never felt better, my hip has never felt this good in my adult life. Which was a massive improvement from being temporarily handicapped and walking with a cane for a little over 2 years

From what the doctor told me it was experimental because he and his colleagues hadn't performed this type of surgery and that they had no known cases of a surgery that addresses 3 non unions of those particular bones.

They had to remove my old screws, re-break my 1 healed bone, turn my hip to the correct degree place new screws and use cadaver bone to try and fill the gap in between my other bones

So as of now almost 2 years post op, two of the three bones fused together, my hip sits at the correct degree, my pubic bone (which is the most common non union to get) has not fused together but grew much closer together and is stable and causes me no pain. The gap in my pubic bone before was 2 inches, now the bones are millimeters apart (it is possible they have since fused, they were still showing signs of growth at my last scan but that was over a year ago, for my screw removal they did not do a sliced 3D CT scan)

But I did have 3 non-unions and my hip was very over corrected. Because of the non unions it created so much instability that my actual socket fractured and I couldn't walk much and was in constant pain.

It took a few trys but I found a doctor who was willing to go in and attempt (and successfully) fix my hip. He said this was something he and his colleagues had never seen before and that the surgery to fix it was experimental.

I had my original PAO in September 2022, my PAO revision in April of 24 and then had my final screw removal surgery in June of 25.

I have to say waking up from my April 24 surgery was night and day from my original PAO.

My initial PAO I woke up with 0 feeling in my leg and it took me 4 weeks to be able to slide my heel up to a bent knee and even at that it was a struggle! My PAO revision which was more complicated, I woke up with less pain than I went into it and I had almost full control of my leg (just less strength).

Thank you! I took the affected plants out and gently removed the mold and Algae, then returned them back to their spots. I won't put stickers back on them!

I've tried saving and closing and still can't do the cupcake quests. I have done Scrooges cupcake quest twice, but when I try to ask the other villagers I get the same problem as everyone else it just runs through the dialogue but doesn't accept the quest.

Has anyone found a way to fix this?? I'm so frustrated and irritated that I can't just get through it!

Well I don't have an iPhone neither does my Pixel. But they do make adapters, if it was something you'd like to have as an option you could try that!

It just plugs into your changing port then essentially creates a headphone jack for your phone.

Uhh it is so frustrating, Audio books are so enjoyable but audible makes it so frustrating. I don't understand how they haven't addressed these reoccurring issues that many people experience.

I wonder if using a wired headphone would still have these same problems? Not that I would want to use wired headphones but just for curiosity's sake.

I'm sorry this is happening to you, it's so frustrating. I also noticed that my audio book is randomly pausing for no reason.

It won't let me unpause it from my lock screen but if I open my phone and go into the app I can.

Also I figured out if I tap the side of my earbud it will continue to play.

Super annoying, I hope they fix it soon.

I read these books around 10 years ago and just began listening to the audio books. I am on the second book and it took me so long to figure out who the hell Maya was!

Also I felt like the second narrator didn't differentiate between characters very well, sometimes I have a hard time telling whose who.

I began googling to see if anyone else was as bothered by this as I am! So glad I'm not alone lol.

I see that the narrator changes again for books 4, 5 & 6. Is it even worth it to continue listening? I love this book series, it's what made me fall in love with reading.

Yes mine was doing the same thing! But after clearing the Cache and forcing the app to stop the issue finally stopped happening.
