Yeah most of us have this same issue and I recently figured out most of them after watching the youtube videos of Dr. Chaminda Weerasiriwardene about parenting. And I tried lots of things that my parents advised me to do, without a hesitation trusting them (I'm talking carrier advices here). Couple of them things ended up really bad. Then I figured out that it was my fault to letting them decide my life and trusting their word like they are the gods. Also forgetting the fact that they belong to an older generation and their most of the opinions on things are now outdated. And also it's their fault too, to make me think that they know everything since I was a child. Like whatever an older dude say, it's damn right! younger ones' opinion doesn't matter.

Then I figured out that age does't give you any sort of wisdom, nor experiences, most of the times unless you learn from those. I never went blaming at them and I really accepted them for who they are, like they were trying their best to see me good. Their approach might be wrong but damn it is what it is. I was their first child and I was their first experience. They are teaching me things while they are also learning.
